Who Heals The Creatures of Nature?
It si generally believed that Nature is ruthless. If nay wild creature is sick or injured it is always left to die or is actually killed by its companions rather than become a liability to them. This is not strictly true. Many creatures act as their own doctors in an attempt to cure themselves
It is known that a cat or dog will eat grass if its stomach is upset, but other animals also eat various leaves and greases for their medicinal value. They always pick special plants and avoid all others. This seems to suggest that animals have acquired a knowledge of the value of herbal treatment. An instance for this was observes some years ago. A man who caught a gibbon noticed that it had a swelling on its side which ran a long scar. Curious to see what was wrong the man had the animal operated upon. The swelling proved to be a large ball of masticated leaves from a plant known for it medicinal value. The ape had obviously been wounded and had gathered the leaves. Chewed them into a ball and stuffed them into its open wounds. A moorhen was once found with its leg bound with a kind of plaster cast at the knee join. The bone had been broken but had grown together again and was fully healed, but the cast of dried clay must have been put there by the bird. Itself. Woodcock birds are also seen dong the same thing, applying a splint of stiff grasses and clay to an injured limb.
First-aid of another kind is seen in the ant world, where a worker with a broken leg will have it amputated by its fellows. Ants also isolated and tend sick members of their communities in special chambers in the nest.
Black bears and other creatures coming out of hibernation in the spring are known to search for the eat certain berries and fruits which have a laxative effect. This is mainly to tone up their body systems after along sleep
Deer prefer lime –filled water when growing new ant tiers so that these will grow quickly, while pregnant deer will earth only certain kinds of food until their young are born. Likewise many other creatures will search for certain leaves and roots when they are sick.
Animals with bleeding wounds have been known to place spider s webs on them. These have styptic properties which constrict the blood vessels and reduce bleeding.
And the tiny and unpleasant maggots which crawl in their hundreds inside the naked wound of some animals are never disturbed by the creature itself. Laid by mayflies , these maggot actually destroy dangerous bacteria in the wound and assist natural healing.
But not only ape there animals who act as their own doctors on occasion, some also perform as dentists. apes sometimes act as skilled dentist of there own and each other’s teeth, it had been observed by a naturalist once that an Orang-=outang performed such a feat of self treatment when it had a gumboil in its mouth. It took damp clay and applied it as a poultice on its face, a fe2w days later pulled out a rotten tooth. In fact, American scientist have observed that Chimpanzees practise more skilled dentistry –inspecting. Cleaning, and even extracting teeth. Such scabietic research, involving groups of animal in a seasonable wild state will live us a greater insight into fascinating and valuable aspect of animal behaviour. .
Be not afraid of greatness, some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.
Codes and Ciphers
Codes and ciphers are set of characters of signals , with prearrange meanings as letters or numbers, used for secrecy and brevity in transmitting messages, especially in wartime.
Quote from The true charm and power of Vedanta
“Having well ascertained the object of the knowledge of the Vedanta, having purified their nature by the Yoga of renunciation, all anchorites, enjoying the highest immortality , become free at the time of the great end [death] in the worlds of Brahma” – Mundaka Upanishad
“The first results of Yoga they call lightness, healthiness, steadiness, a good complexion, an easy pronunciation, a sweet odor, and slight execration. “
“As a metal disk [mirror] tarnished by dust shines bright again after it has been cleaned, so is the one incarnate person satisfied and free from grief after he has been the real nature of the Self.”
“and when, by means of the real nature of his Self, he sees, as by a lamp, the real nature of Brahman, then , having known the Unborn, Eternal God, who is beyond all natures, he is freed from all fetters.”
“let us know that highest great Lord of Lords, the highest Deity of deities, the master of masters, the highest above as God, the Lord of the World, the Adorable.” Svetasvatara –Upanishad.

Be Spiritually Immune
If you could untie your wings and free your soul of jealousy and hatred, you and everyone around you would fly up like doves.
All created beings on the Earth are blessed with an inbuilt immune system that protects one from so many infections. We strengthen it with good eating and clean living habits. Then what do we do to immune our spirit from all evil influences and stay free of negativity?
Where do we get this negativity from? Of course , from the external world or the world we live in . How would one evade such negative tendencies within? One can achieve a calm and quiet mind by driving away jealousy, doubt and unnecessary desires.
We can also immune ourselves by not reliving the past unpleasant happenings, by forgiving the persons that caused them. One must remember only the lesion such events forced one to learn; by doing so, one can never be contemptuous or arrogant.
The adult folks must harness the innocence of the youngsters who absorb divine vibrations easily. We must teach our young when they are still in their prime all things righteous and also evolve for ourselves an exemplary living style. When we train our children by setting good examples, the process of cultivating spiritual immunity begins. This helps them in keeping their mind clean, refines their intuitive powers and protects them like a fortress from everything negative . It draws the best things to them, it forties and rein forces us well as the youngsters with emotional and mental stability and builds up self-confidence. It makes one feel secure and in control. Spiritual immunity thus fosters innate powers and thereby making the youth powerful and upright.
If you want peace. Work for justice
It is difficult , but essential to form a genuine idea of peace. It is especially difficult if one ignores his intuition that tells him that peace is something very human. If we look for the true source of peace we find that it is rooted in genuine respect for man. Peace that is not rooted in true respect for man is not true peace . and true respect for man we call justice. If you want peace, work for justice.
Stress is behind many diseases
Two psychologists at Yale University have concluded that many common affliction are , to a large extent, caused by stress. They believe that chronic stress is partially responsible for the development of asthma, diabetes, ulcers, ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel dieses, atherosclerosis, heart attack, cancers, and the common cold . the researchers point out that the disease often breaks out after a period of heavy stress. Thus it is common for colds and others infection to breaks out on a weekend or a vacation taken after a prolonged period of high work intensity. The psychologists believe that physicians should assist their patients in acquiring the necessary skills such as exercising and relaxing.
Quote from The true charm and power of Vedanta
The value of concentration is unquestionable . It helps every one in every stage of life. But the greatest man is he who can concentrate his mind of the Supreme Reality, for “we become exactly what we think” Intense thought forms our external and internal nature. This we can often see in the case of devoted husband and wife; they become like each other in their manners, nay, even in their appearance. This fact is very obviously shown in the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, who by constantly concentrating his mind on Jesus the Christ grew to be like Christ. It is even said his eternal figure became transformed and showed the marks of the stigmata. Such is the power of concentration that it can change the whole nature of a man. By concentrating our mind on a pure, holy being we become holy being we become holy. Similarly, when we turn our thoughts to material objects, we become materialistic.

How Does Sap Go Up A Tree?
Every single part of the human body receives a constant supply of blood which is pumped by the heart. In plants and trees, every single part receives water and nourishment, which we call sap. But a tree has no pump because in has no heart. So how does the sap go up a tree?
Science still cannot explain this mystery exactly. But there are several theories about. Though not a single theory seems to offer the complete answer. Scientists believe that there are several forces at work to make this possible. One explanation has to do with ‘osmotic pressure”. In living things, liquids and dissolved materials pass thought membranes. This is called ‘osmosis’. When there are dissolved chemicals in contact with a membrane, they press against the membranes. This is called “osmotic pressure”. If there are any particles in a solution, more particles press against the membrane and seep through than in solutions with fewer particles.
Minerals and water used by plants come from the roots. Since the soil contains more minerals than the plant, the osmotic pressure causes the minerals to enter the plant. The dissolved minerals remain in the plant cells. The water evaporates. In this way water from the soil continuously moves upward through plants.
Another way of explanting how a sap goes up a tree has to do with “transpiration” and the cohesion of water from leaves is called “transpiration”. The attraction of one water particle o another is called “Cohesion”.
Transpiration provides the upward “pull”, As water evaporates from the cells of the leaves, it creates a vacuum in he cells directly below the surface. So these cells draw on the cells below them for a new supply of sap.. And this contains right down to the roots of the tree. Cohesion holds the water particles together as they move up.
Deep –Sand Fishing
In some parts of the Sahara Desert in North Africa there are underground streams. When people dig into the sand to reach the fresh water they sometimes catch Live Fish!
The soul of one hw loves God always swims in joy and always is in a mood for singing.
Quote from The Essence of Bhagavad-Gita
O my mind, why do you love this body which is like a corpse? Why don’t you remember Him who is consciousness Itself and dwells in the body making all bodily functions possible?
The Lord . This body , O son of Kunti, is called the Field, and he who knows it is called the Knower of the Field by those who describe them .

Career Goals: Setting Career Goals and Career Objectives

Career Goals: Setting Career Goals and Career Objectives
Every now and then we come across people who are unhappy with their jobs. The reasons of their unhappiness may vary – they do not like their work schedule, or they do not like a particular colleague in their office, or even that they do not like their boss. However, these vague reasons actually serve as a cover for the underlying reasons of all dissatisfaction with jobs – the employee is unaware of or has not given thought to his or her career goals and objectives.
It is only when a person has a clear thought about his/her career goals and objectives that he or she gets ultimate satisfaction from his/her job and therefore progress faster.
This article covers many examples for your career goals & objectives.
Sample Career Goals, List of Career Objectives and Goals
Here is an example list of some basic career goals that an employee should think about and keep in mind:
Growth in Resources
Change is the only constant, be it in everyday life or in a profession. With the change and growth in business, it is only natural that one would have to constantly upgrade and enhance their knowledge and resources that he or she offers to the business or to the client. Therefore, upgrading one’s knowledge and resources to grow as a professional is another important career goal that one should pursue.
Financial Aspect
The financial aspect is one of the most important ones. If a person is underpaid, he or she will become bitter and frustrated and this will be manifested in his or her work ethics and work method. If a person is overpaid, they may become lethargic and may not be as productive to the company as they were when they were hired and therefore, may soon be given the pink slip. Therefore, another important career goal is to be paid only as much as the job position is worth for the company.
Satisfaction
No activity in this world is carried out without a certain level of satisfaction being one of the person’s requirements. One important career goal should be to be satisfied with whatever you are doing. Of course, that does not mean that you should stop experimenting or impede your enhancement process. You should make sure that you are completely satisfied with whatever job you are doing.
New Experiences
We spend almost three-fourths of our life in the professional world. Therefore, it is logical that we look into our professional lives not only to progress and get ahead in life, but also to learn new things and gain new experiences. An added experience only adds to a person’s richness in terms of thought and knowledge. Therefore, another important career goal to keep in mind is to accumulate experiences such as learning about the cultures of different countries, meeting new people and basically becoming familiarized with customs and traditions worldwide. This will only enable us to increase our tolerance levels and change perspectives.
Stability
Another important career goal that a person should look for is stability. Once a professional gets into a stable company, he or she does not bother about his/her day to day needs and can concentrate on growing as an individual and a professional, which will only add to the growth of the company.
Examples of Career goal statement: Your long term career goals
There are other important aspects of defining your career goals & objectives – having a career goal statement. For example, you may define your long term vision of a career – what would you like to achieve at any given time frame? You should set up a time limit and check/assess your career statements as corner stones.
Here are some examples of career statements:
Comprehensive Growth
Growth is the most important career goal that an employee should look into. There is never a limit for the growth of an individual in a job. In fact, even if a person becomes a CEO of a company, the next level of growth for the individual on a professional level is being an entrepreneur or becoming a proprietor. However, growth does not happen overnight, and being diligent and dedicated to a job is one of the most important aspects of growing. Therefore, one should be dedicated and serious about the job. Only when a person achieves consistency in their productivity, will he/she be able to achieve comprehensive growth on a professional level.
Management
Another example of a career goal statement is – setting a timeframe for becoming a manager or a leader. Once you have mastered the art of doing, you should seek and find a pathway for becoming a leader in your organization and relegating your skills and resources.
Possessing a Backup
If you ever visit a wealth manager, the first thing that he or she will tell you is to invest your money in different nests. The same goes for our resources. One should remember that no company hires the person, but hires his or her services, which are critical resources for the company. However, if you invest all your resources in one place, there is a very good chance that you may not get the returns that you had hoped for. Therefore, it is suggested that you consider a second, parallel career as soon as the opportunity arises.
Second career
One of the most important advantages of having a second career is that a person becomes financially free and can therefore take certain risks in his or her job, which would otherwise not be taken. Risks are just opportunities in disguise and there are chances that the risks may actually turn out to be a lucrative proposal for the company that the individual is working for.
Logical Conclusion: A Business
After all the years of experience and work in a profession and business, it is only logical for a person to think of having a business of their own. Once the person has a business of his or her own, he or she can use all the expertise and knowledge he or she has about the business for his or her own benefit. Therefore, ultimately having one’s own business should be one of an individual’s career goals.
Gaining Expertise
It goes without saying that once a person spends an amount of time in the business and profession, he or she becomes experienced in the job. Once the individual’s experience passes a certain level, he or she is considered to be good enough to become a job consultant. Every employee should have a career goal to become so experienced in his or her profession that he/she can be hired as a consultant by other companies.
“People with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them could ever imagine.”
Quote from Bhagavad gita
Governing sense, mind and intellect, intent on liberation, free from desire, fear and anger, the sage is forever free
Bhagavad Gita

What is Life

Monday 11–April- 2011
What is life?
Man comes into this world without his consent ,and leaves it against his will. When he is little, the big girls kiss him and when he is big, the little girls kiss him. If he makes a lot of money , he is dishonest. If he is poor, he is a bad manager. If he needs credit, he cannot get it. If he is rich everyone wants to do something for him. If he is religious, he is hypocrite. If he does not go to Temple, he is hardened sinner. If he give to charity, it is for show. If he does not, he is a stingy person. If he dues young, there was a great future before him. If he lives to ripe age, he is an old fellow. If he saves money , he is a miser. If he spends , he is spendthrift. Such is life.
Positive thinking and successful living.
If you are going to build a house, the first thing you would do is to start clearing the land. You would never dream of starting to build on a site that is filled with rubbish.
Positive thinking cannot be achieved without hard work. To be effective, positive thinking must be regarded as a new life style, replacing the rubbish in the mind piled up over the years. We are all conditioned by our past. We hold many opinion and prejudices. For our past failures, we build up a pile of excuses so that when we want to try something new. The selfish ego holds on to these excuses. So in the first place, we must remove all the negatives from our minds.
For example , if you are feeling sad, tell yourself in detail how much there is to be cheerful about and thankful for. If you feel lonely , choose and interesting task and think how valuable it is to be able to work without interruption. Always try to substitute a strong, positive picture for the negative one in your mind.
At the end of each day, list all the happy things that have taken place. Remember that it has been a fine day. Get rid of the useless waste which can be poisonous if you let it accumulate.
Dr David Schwartz, a writer in psychology, says: “Of all living creatures probably not ones in ten million is a happy human being.” Talk the way you would like to be , and you will be the way you talk. This slogan should be written in block letter and kept always before you. Talk courageously, and you will be brave. If you want to be a leader, speak with confidence, if you want friends be sure all your words are friendly.
You talk the way you are. If you want to be different, alter your speech. Watch for revealing negative words and change them to positive ones at once. There is a positive side to everything. A new word means a new picture and a new picture means a new life.
In your efforts to improve, go slowly and do not bite off too much at once. Mental food takes the same processing as any other, it must be chewed well and digested before we try to take in any more. A statement like. “Today I am going to learn and grow, is good”. Affirm it and hold it for a day. When tomorrow comes, take it again a new day.
Power of Positive Thoughts.
Men are taught from childhood that they are weak and sinners. Teach them that they re all glorious children of immortality. Let positive, strong, helpful thoughts enter into there brains from very childhood, Lay yourselves open to these thoughts and not to weakening and paralyzing ones. The infinite strength of the world is yours.
Drives out the superstition that has covered your minds. Let us be brave. Know the truth and practice the truth. The goal may be distant, but awake, arise and stop not till the goal is reached.- Swami Vivekananda.
Remarkable Seven
The number 7 is a remarkable number because:
The colour of the rainbow are seven. The notes of the musical scale are seven. There were seven sages of Greece; there were seven kings of Rome. The city of Rome was built on seven hills. The world was made in seven days. There are seven days in a week. There were seven famous cities of ancient times-Rome, Antioch, Nineveh, Babylon, Athens, Tyre, and Carthage. there are seven wonder of the world. There is lucky 7,There are seven seas and finally there were 7th Heaven.
What is the Meaning of September?
September was the seventh month of the old calendar, and when it became the ninth, the Romans did not rename it. Its name comes from Spetem, meaning seven.
Quotes from The Essence of The Gita
We wont be killers even if we kill hundreds and we wont dies even if others kill us”-this is what we shall experience. All of us have read or heard the stories of the chaste wife and the virtuous butcher in the Mahabharata. But we have completely forgotten to work like these role models did; hence this degradation. That is why Sri Krishna says that we must work unceasingly and our work must be without desire. When we work, w must remain non-working within. Then we will experience the serene peace of a yogi.
Serenity is rooted in the soil of love.

Develop Tact To Handle People

Monday 28 February-2011
Develop Tact To Handle People
The term ‘tact’, is related to one’s skill in understanding judging and tackling people or situations we are concerned with. This is an art by itself. Tact is more needed when we disagree with somebody or reject something. In every sphere of life we come across many moments when we have to differ with our own friends, near and dear. We find ourselves in embarrassing situations. If we fail to convey what we think or that we oppose, in a graceful manner. We provoke the feelings and hurt the delicate line of relationship.
Tactful dealing can strengthen social relationship builds up cordiality between a boss and his associates. It promotes conducive work-culture. A boss can give some endearing personal talk to his associates. For example; Enquiring about the associates; health , family etc. The personal touch’ can work wonders and make the associate happily. Moreover , this tactful dealing breathes intimacy.
Sometime people come with lot of complaints and grievances against us. If we are tactless, the situation leads to headlong confrontation. When we deal with such a situation, we need so sum up the situation and must let the aggrieved one speak out. When we do so, we have an edge over him. We gat a chance to understand the person, once the steam is let off, you try to put out your mind, and try to ease the situation. To do this one must live up the attitude. “ I am always right. Ego’ will only lead to clashes . so the secret behind tact is be frank and if necessary, tender apology. There is yet another way to deal with such a situation. As Dale Carnegie in How to win friends and influence people says, one must start talking about one’s drawbacks with out giving a chance to the other person to express them. Surely, this would make the complainant to take a generous view. The same tact can be applied in offices or an other place of work or situation.
Some people take pride in their criticism about others. They do not realize that they are presenting themselves in a poor light. No one likes to be insulted . so we try to avoid the ‘blunt’ talkers carefully to avoid unpleasant situation. It would be better for them to choose words carefully so that the delicate fabric of human relationship is well preserved.
Tactful dealing is required to have a pleasant atmosphere even on the domestic ‘front’ Neither parents nor children should resort to angry allegations. Many a time both parents and children find themselves to such a situation where the parents end up screaming at the children Instead. if the parents could adopt a patient and soft approach, the situation will have a pleasant ending. Likewise on home front, many a situation calls for tact. So tactful dealing develops understanding . it does not offence. It absorbs offences for the sake of harmonious relationships. In social personal or official life, no one can afford to be tactless.
Fencing The Young Plant
It is extremely difficult to practice spiritual discipline and at the same time lead a householder’s life.
But still thee is a way out. One should pray to God, going now and then into solitude, and make efforts to realize Him.
Whenever you have leisure, go into solitude for a day or two. At that time don’t have any relation with the outside world.
Haven’t you seen the trees on the foot-path along a street? They are fenced around as long as they are very young; otherwise cattle destroy them. But there is no longer any need of fences, when their trunks grow thick and strong. Then they won’t break even if an elephant is tied to them. Just so, there will be no need for you to worry and fear if you make your mind as strong as a thick tree-trunk. First of all try to acquire discrimination.
Quote from The Essence of the Gita
At every step in Sri Krishna’s life we can see that he possessed the highest knowledge. Even during life’s most critical moments, what remarkable steadiness and oceanic calmness he had! In any kind of situation Sir Krishna was completely unflappable, unwavering and unperturbed. We can see him in beautiful Verindaban filled with flowers and fruits. Or in Mathura, surrounded by enemies . Or in Hastinapur, adored by the royal household. Or in the battlefield, saturated with love and hatred. Or in Prnhasa, resounding with past memories.

Visitors To Our Garden

Monday 14th February-2011
Visitors To Our Garden
All of us love garden which teems with life such as beautiful flowering plants and fruit-yielding trees. Besides these don’t we find insects and birds creeping crawling and hovering?
It’s indeed fortunate to have a beautifully grown and tended garden around. While tending to the plants in our garden or while digging I the flower beds, we see earthworms or many other insects hidden in the soil. Furthermore, if we dig into a heap of compost, we often find a host of small insects or centipedes creeping out of it. So our gardens provide home to a large species of animals, and insects like , snails, sludge, spider etc. These small creatures not only build their homes in the soil but also help in making it more fertile.
The earthworms that dig into we soil mix the various layers of soil and make it porous and airy . Moles also do it though at a much larger scale. Most of these creatures live a hidden life, to protect themselves from predators and come out to feed only at night. Hence both plants and animals live together and are interdependent upon each other. Some insects feed on plats and once they die they decompose and become manure, which serve as good for plants.
Some flying insects like butterflies and bees also help plants in reproducing through pollination. Dead leaves from plants decompose on the ground and thereby provide food and shelter for the smaller creatures. There are many insects that survive on each other. For example spiders build webs and trap insects which sere as their food.
There are some occasional visitors to our gardens. They are various types of birds which feed upon insect and earthworms. If there are trees or berry bushes in the garden then these provide home and food for birds and other animals like squirrels and chipmunks. Thus nature is able to maintain its balance and all creatures and plants thrive through interdependence. Often a lot of wild plants like weeds, lichen, moss, mushrooms and toadstools find their way into our gardens and we remove the weeds to make our garden look neat and spruce.

To live healthy one has to eat smart. We don’t have to starve ourselves totally. We must make smart choices.
We should never skip breakfast. It forms the most important meal of the day. Good and nutrient-rich breakfast keeps us going through the day.
We should never skip a meal so that we could prevent eating a greedy and big meal. Instead we must have a small frequent meals.
We all must recollect what we were taught at school- That we should eat slowly, chew every bite 32 times and take at least 20 minutes to finish our meal. It works wonders because this gives us a feeling of fullness.
It is always advisable to avoid processed foods. Unprocessed food is available. Plenty. It includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and limited quantity of protein like eggs and milk.
Vegetarian diet rich in fiber will make us feel full soon and also helps move fat through our digestive system faster so that less fat is absorbed
Sugar in diets adds “empty calories” and no other nutrient to the body. So keep it to the minimum. We must also learn that when a product claims to be fat-free, it is not necessarily sugar-free or calorie-free..
Eating vegetable salad with no mayonnaises or any other high-fat dressing, is the best option.
We should not totally cut down on fat intake for various metabolic processes in our body. So stick to the recommended levels and avoid junk food, deep fired oily food, cakes, pastries and chocolates.
Balanced diets teamed up with regular exercise is the best option to stay healthy.

And how will you fight?
Fight with equanimity, looking with evenness upon joy and misery, victory and defeat, gain and loss

I drive joy
There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 5 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive from? I am not robbing you of your joy; why should you rob me of mine. He asked. Monday 22 November 2010
Embarking On A New Career
A good beginning ensures a good ending. It is time for the parents and youngster to think of new career, which may be a much beaten path or an unbeaten new path. A careful forethought and foresight are what one needs when one is accosted with a forked path. This careful choice lays before you a smooth journey.
There is yet another kind of career which is a different kind and doesn’t make you money, it is just makes you fuller human being. This must also be your goal as you embark on your new career, to make yourself a fuller human being and more professional too. Your goal is victory for you.
Resharpen your focus . what if you can’t remember X’s batting average , or Y’s RBI’S or Z’s earned run average or won-lost record. So what? But resharpen your focus . you will find yourself with more time or you must create more time for yourself . You must bypass trivia so you will have time . what can you do with it?
Embark on your new career. One in the worldly sense and the other, the evolution of ‘You’ Accepting your imperfection. Tolerating your weaknesses. Appreciating and developing your strengths . How?
You must accept yourself for what you are and yearn to grow daily by moving away from negativism.
You must think and do creatively as you reach for productive goals within capabilities and training.
You must also learn to control the emotional riot within you that distorts and scars your image, leading to disaster; you must give to yourself a friend first , then offer friendship to others.
You must learn to love life Now, not yesterday or tomorrow . your real love is for today. You must embark on your new career Today and attain Success.

How to Boost Your Immunity
Prevention is always better than cure. If this golden rule governs our lives, we seldom fall sick. It is true that all of us love to look healthy, sans occasional cold. But it is not enough that we merely wish it and sit idle. Remember, all good thing are wrought by dedicated and concentric hard work and focused attitude.
If you wish to stay healthy and have longevity of life, you have got to stick to a healthful life style. In order to stay so, you have to improve your immune system. It takes care of a lot of things. Even if you have been exposed to the flu, you don’t have to get it. How to prevent it? The best flu or sickness prevention strategy is quite basic good nutrition, regular exercise, and enough sleep.
A well-nourished immune system is better able to fight off infections. It has got to be fuelled with natural vitamins and antioxidants found in healthful foods. Eat dark green, red and yellow vegetables and fruits. They are packed with numerous antioxidants, plus vitamins A,C, E and beta-carotene
Then exercise is a must regularly. Every time you walk or run, you are boosting your body’s immunity, the natural defense against viruses. A daily 30 minute wake-or three 10 minutes walks-is the maximum you need. Doing more of it provides grater health benefits.
After food and exercise, what we need is enough or plenty of sleep. Most adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep . Teens need more –about 9 hours daily. Growing kids need from 10 to 12 hours of sleep.
Stress is one of the prime factors that dents our immune system. Some stress is good to finish when to relax. Too much of stress leas to many health risks. To avoid stressful moments , plan your daily routine well. If you can do all these things, to a greater extent you an sty healthy, by not falling sick often. It is because your immune system fights with factors of illness.
Your Mission of Life
Your mission of life is –to bear on your shoulder the burden of others, to pursue with zeal, a task that is not inspiring, to succeed sticking to an aim though others claim the credit. This requires a clean mind and heart. But if you do them by discipline, your name will distinctly shine as a gem in heavenly shrine.
Perfect Moments
Life never seems to be the way we want it , but we live it the best way we can. There is no perfect life, but we can fill it with perfect moments.
People always call it luck when you have acted more sensibly than they have
What is Teleconferencing?
Now a days, we hear a lot about Teleconferencing. Teleconferencing is a system of holding conferences by television. It enables people to hold simultaneous ‘fact-to-public’ conferences with people in several cities. People who need to get together for discussions need no longer to travel to the same place to hold a conference. They can now communicate with each other by a form of television sent over telephone lines via satellites. The system is not like television in the home. The people can see each other on a large screen in their own rooms and talk easily to anyone taking part. Computers handle the transmission of the sound and pictures, using a very clever system. A computer at each end holds the picture in its memory. But after initially transmitting the whole picture, the sending computers only transmits the part that moves. The receiving computer mixes the still and moving parts so that a complete picture is always shown on the screen.
Quote from the essence of Bhagavad-Gita
In the eye of devotees. It is God the beloved who appears as everything in the world, animate and inanimate. He is the man, He is the woman. He is the boy , He is the girl, He is the servants and the maid-everywhere are His hands, everywhere His feet and eyes. With the full awareness that the world is God’s image, true devotees immerse themselves in the service of their beloved God, who is manifesting in the form of their spouses, children and others. The devotees live in order to serve . they are not attached to anything; selfishness has left them for good. They neither protest nor are troubled even at the possibility of death. Devotees attain “freedom while living” (jivanmukti) by merging their own will in the supreme will of the Divine. The sage narda expresses the characteristic of devotion in his Bhakti Sutras as “Devotion is the intense love for God.”

Acquire Professionalism

Monday 27-September- 2010
Acquire Professionalism
Every worker would like to reflect the image of dynamism and honesty. Integrity, and conscientiousness, diligence etc. these are the tenants of professionalism. If one likes to exude these, one has to build and image of professionalism.
What makes an image? People generally beeline a neat and spruce external appearance is what makes one’s image. On the contrary , it is not this external appearance alone that gives our the right image. In fact the values of truthfulness and diligence are what comprise a professional image it is a reflection of your professional convections, beliefs and behaviors
Image monument solely is dependent on the perception of others. It is as much about what you are seen to be, as who you are. It means that if you aren’t managing your own professional image, some one else does it for you, so people are constantly observing your behavior, forming theories about your competence character and commitment. In short , you become the author of your own identity..
So one must constantly be very of it and make a conscious effort to create the right impressions and a positive professional image. In short , it must be reiterated that it is not your external appearance but by a reflection of honest commitment to a value system such as time sense, co-operation, trustworthiness and credibility, diligence one can establish oneself as n assiduous worker of professionalism..
Always Be Positive
One of the favorite saying of Gurudev , which he wrote in his writing as well as quoted in his divine talks was, “ Never despair, Never despair Nil desparadum. A poet said, “Tell me not in mournful numbers-life is but an empty dream!” You have come here to strive and attain. Strive on, Do pursuhartha. Be strong be determined and plod on. If thus you do purushartha, you will get help from God. That is the one meaning of ‘Heart within and God overhead!’ Do exert on and then help will come from God.
There are two ways of approaching life. One is diffidence, lack of confidence, negativity;” I don’t think I can do it. It is too difficult” Another ways is :”I can I will try my best”. “I can’t is not rational. It is irrational. And if after trying you very best, you do not succeed in attaining the objective. I can assure you, you have not failed. Success may not be yours, but you have succeeded. You have fulfilled a human being’s duty.
God is all that is positive, all that is auspicious, good and beautiful. There is no negativity in God. And you are made in His image. You have potential for al that is positive and positive only. You should not believe your divine nature. At every step, in all things, your life should prove your divine nature. It behooves you to always take a positive attitude towards life, and never a negative approach, to always have positive view of things, and to move forward in your fairly life. Then your heart is in a state that the poet implied when he said. “Heart within and God overhead!”
It is for such a heart that we should pray to the Lord; “ I have full trust that You will be my leader that Your grace will be my guiding force and leading light in my life day by day. With your help, O Lord, all things are possible for me. So, with your help, there is nothing that I cannot do. And I will take Your help for granted, because you are grace. You are love and compassion. You are ever ready to bestow Your grace upon all sincere seeking sahakas. Being certain of this, I shall strive having full trust that You will help where help is needed”.
Hope is a divine quality Determination is divine quality. It is a manifestation of Shakti. Therefore, it is our duty to ourselves and to God to always keep our interior in a positive state. It is our duty to always take a positive approach towards life, and to always takes the positive approach , which is the right approach. This is the right attitude and this you must adapt. This will help you to succeed in your life-(Courtesy ; The Vision)
Why Do Heartbeats Make Noise?
It is impossible to put our ear to our chest to listen to our own heart beating. And not everybody has a stethoscope to listen to his neighbor’s . However films and documentaries have let us hear the very characteristic rhythmic beat, which modern composers have sometimes imitated in there music. It is the heat valves that produce the familiar doubles heart heat such known to doctors as ‘Lub” and ‘Dub’. The first sound which lasts for approximately 1/10th of a second, is dull and muffled; the second, which follows fairly closely, is shorter and sharper. These two sounds are followed by a relative silence (approximately half a second for a person at rest). Sometimes a third sound is heard, 1/10th of a second after the second sound.
Where do these sounds come from?
The first sound we hear, the one which says ’Lub’ is caused by the rapid closure of the valve between the auricles and the ventricles (auricular- ventricular valves)This second, father like a door closing is accompanied by a dull murmur, caused by the contraction of the ventricular muscles.
The second sound is cause by the closing of the arterial valves.
As for the third sound, this corresponds to the arrival of the blood being expelled forcefully from the auricles into the ventricles. The right ventricle is smaller than the left ventricle. On the right hand side, the blood is only pumped to the lungs; on the left hand side the effort is that much greater, as it has to be circulated around the whole body.

Tips to Imporve Your Personality

Monday 12–July- 2010
Tips To Improve Your Personality
There are a number of ways for improving your personality.
Laugh as much as you can Laughter is a positive, natural condition which helps to improve respiration, lower blood pressure and tone up the heart.
If you feel sad, cry. Research has shown that tears not only provide stress relief but also helps the body get rid of harmful chemical substances. If you suppress your natural instinct to cry, you are increasing your chances of facing a stress-related disorder.
Anger is a killer. Disease like high blood pressure, stroke and heart disease are all results of uncontrolled anger. Find a positive way such a physical exercise or talking about your problem to release it.
Lack of self-confidence can be very destructive , so build it up. You can do this by imagining that you are creating an advertisement for yourself, writing down all your good qualities. You will be surprised to find how many good qualities you have.
Smile as often as you can. If someone sees you smiling, he will smile back. He would also like your company.
Learn to be courageous. In hospitals, the patients who live longest are the ones who bear their condition with courage. The same is true in life also.
Boredom is one of the biggest killers. Be prepared to take risk and chance to add excitement to your life. If you don’t take risk, you will never know what you can achieve.
Put purpose into life. By adding ambition. Hope and purpose, you will give yourself new powers to fight stress and strain associated with frustration. boredom and pressure.
Get into the habit of following your instincts. Practice first with minor decisions-what to eat and wear. You will be surprised to know the power of you subconscious mind.
-(Condensed)-(Courtesy: Hypnotique)
If you give something to one in need , let cheerfulness on your face precede the gift, and speak to him words of comfort. if you do this, your friendly look will be dearer to his mind even than a gift that is more than he needs.
Secret of Good Memory
The secret of a good memory is attention , and attention to a subject depends upon our interest in it. We rarely forget that which has made a deep impression on our minds. Tryon Edwards
Truth Must Not Only Inform But Inspire
A lamp can never light another lamp unless it continues to burn its own flame. The teacher who has come to the end of his subject, who has no living contact with his knowledge but merely repeats his lessons to his students, can only load their minds; he cannot quicken them. Truth not only must inform but inspire. It the inspiration dies out, and the information only accumulates , then truth loses its worth. The greater part of our learning in the schools has been wasted because, for most of our teachers their subjects are like dead specimens of once living things, with which they have learned acquaintance, but no communication of life and love –Rabindranath Tagore
Quote from True Religion always Help
Some people appear to think that if they become religious, they would lose all the fun of life. Of course, they have a very funny idea of fun itself, and one might say they have only a vague idea of life too.
That fun alone is real fun which does not make us eventually suffer. At the time of having the so-called fun, we have, no doubt, bodily or sensual pleasure. But that pleasure is deceitful for it hastens the suffering that is inevitable; there fruit of all such fun. These pains and sufferings reach a climax at old age, we are then feeble in body and week in mind, and then death stares us in the face. If we can go out of this life smiling, without regret or remorse, and take the parting in its stride, then alone can we be said to have had real fun in life. But when the laughter and nectar of today turn into the tear and gall of tomorrow. When in passing out of this life we course or weep while other are either indifferent or even have a sigh of relief, then we have had no fun at all. We have only beneath fools of fun.
To those who indulge in that sort of fun, life s only skin deep. And indeed, how deep is the skin?
Those people who think that by becoming religious they will lose the fun of life, have no clear idea about true religion true fun, or true life.
Overcome evil with good, falsehood with truth and hatred with love.
Why didn’t you feel the water
Sheela ; I burnt my fingers in hot water.
Leela Stupid why didn’t you feel the water before you put your fingers in it.
To be kept a secret
Meena (agrily):”What do you mean by telling everyone in class that I am an idiot?”
Pradeep; “ I am sorry, I didn’t know it was meant to be kept a secret”.
Four Steps To Excellence
Plan Purposefully
Prepare Prayerfully
Proceed Positively
Pursue Persistently .

Tolerance

Monday 1–June- 2010
Tolerance Leads To Happiness
Tolerance means magnanimity and patience. Tolerance is a sign of respect and consideration for others. It is virtue.
When someone points out your mistake , don’t lose your temper. Resist the urge to quarrel with the other person. Instead, ask yourself. “Am I wrong? If the other person, perhaps, is right?’
Tolerance makes a person develop wider vision. Don’t allow yourself to be disturbed by small irritations. If your assistant hs not drafted a letter well, don’t throw it on his face; you can just explain how to improve the message. This will enable him to resolve not to repeat the mistake. Learn to accept what is disagreeable . You will then enjoy greater freedom of thought and expression.
There will be occasions when you feel incidents are taking place to try your patience. When you are in such a mood, your neighbor’s courteous enquiries seem disturbance; the laughter of the children at play seems like nerve-shattering sound. It is only when you exercise patience and tolerance in day-to-day happenings, you can enjoy peace of mind and understanding of family members, friends and others in the right way.
Indeed, developing tolerance is not easy but worth trying. Once you have learnt the art of loving and giving you can easily be tolerant.
Be kind towards the weak and poor. Never discriminate people for reasons or religion, case and creed. Learn to rise above narrow loyalties so that you can broaden your outlook.
Why should we learn from?
An ant? To go in queue and save things for the future.
A dog? To be faithful and active forever.
A honeybee? To keep ourselves busy and offer sweetness to all.
A cow? To nourish all like a mother.
A cuckoo? To please others by the sweetness in our voice.
A flower? To make all happy without any distinction.
A tree? To shelter the needy, enemy or friend.
A river? To love and serve all around.
Definite Action
Liberty does not consist, my fellow citizens, in mere declarations of the rights of man. It consists in the translation of those declarations into definite actions.
A Bit of Kindness
When you awake in the morning reach out for the day.
And do with it something worthwhile.
An amazing lot of good can be done.
With a kind word or even a smile.
If someone has strayed, please don’t judge him.
Your wisdom just is not that great.
It is better to know that you did what you could than to find you have waited too late.
Quote from Gita
Suppose a particular man has the desire to become someone great. Initially he may think that being great means being rich and having several subordinates under his control; after much struggle he perhaps does become rich and his intellect also become somewhat refined. Then this gentleman realizes that he can be greater still if he acquires knowledge. If he is ignorant, why would people accept them as a great person? He realizes that in order to get knowledge he must learn to sacrifice a little more. He must keep himself away from partying and other forms of entertainment. In this way, to the extent that he begins to understand the meaning of being “great,” he gradually realizes that no one can become great without learning to give up. In this way we all learn that nothing can be achieve in any field without giving up. The scriptures say that we learn to give up little by little in small matters and ultimately we are able to give up everything and attain immortality.

Man-The Maker of His Destiny

Monday 3–May- 2010
Man-The Maker of His Destiny
Swami Vivekananda
We are responsible for what we are, and whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves. If what we are now has been the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act.
This human body is the greatest body in the universe, and a human being the greatest being. Man in higher than all animals, none is greater than man.
Man is man, so long as he is struggling to rise above nature and this nature is both internal and external.
If we read the history of nations between the lines, we shall always find that the rise of a nation comes with the increase in the number of such men, and the fall of begins in the absence of such men. That is to say, the mainsprings of the strength of every race lies in its spirituality, and the death of that race begins the day that spiritually declines and materialism gains ground.
This world is the great gymnasium where we come to make ourselves strong.
Men in general lay all the blame of life on their fellow men or failing that, on God and say it is fate. Where is fate? We reap what we sow. We are the makers of our own fate. None else has the blame , none has the praise.
Every thought that we think, every deed that we do, after a certain time becomes fine, goes into seed form , so to speak, and lives in the fine body in a potential form, and after a time, it emerges again and bears its results. These results condition the life of man. Thus he moulds his own life. Man is not bound by any other laws excepting those which he makes for himself.
My ideal, indeed, can be put into a few words, and this is; to preach unto mankind their divinity, and to make it manifest in every moment of life.
I am sure God will pardon a man who will use his reason and cannot trust, rather than a man who trust blindly, instead of using the faculties He has given him.
We must reason and when reason proves to us the truth of the prophets and great men abut whom the ancient books speak in every country, we shall trust in them. We shall trust in them when we see such saints in ourselves . we shall then find that they were not peculiar men, but only illustration of certain principles.
Why should you not try to hit the mark? We become wiser thought failures.
It is better to do something; never mind even if it proves to be wrong; it is better than doing nothing. The cow never tells a lie, but she remains a cow, all the time. Do something!
The highest things are under you feet, because you are Divine Stars;
It is the coward and the fool who says, ‘This is fate’ so says the Sanskrit proverb, but it is the strong man who stands up and says, “ I will make my fate’.
Life is very interesting. If you can learn from the mistakes you make.
My Boss…..by James
When I take a long time I am slow;
When my boss takes a long time he is thorough.
When I don’t do it-I am lazy;
When my boss doesn’t do it he is too busy.
When I do something without being told
I am trying to be smart;
When my boss does the same that is initiative.
When I please my boss I am apple –polishing
When my boss pleases his boss he is co-operating.
When I do good my boss never remembers
When I do wrong he never forgets.
