How to build up your personal courage?
Many people find it difficult to get on with people, to face problems at home and to make friends. They hesitate to accept responsibility because they are afraid they will not be able to perform. They fail at something and it discourages them continuously. They become discouraged and feel inferior. All these are basically a problem of courage.
How does one become a courageous person? Courage is a quality of life that we have to build up. If we want courage sincerely and are prepared to persist, we can gain all the courage we need.
Build up your own self-esteem. You are to be a confident person. Dress as smartly as you can and take the trouble about your appearance. Speak clearly and distinctly.
Begin to fill your mind with positive thoughts. It is easy to fill one’s mind with memories of past failures . Instead recall your past success.
Review regularly the blessings for which you should be thankful –your health, your job, your home, your friends and the beauty of the world.
Stop recollecting a picture of yourself as a defeated person. Instead, think of your victories. Learn to respect yourself, taking pride in your talents. These steps will help to build up the right sort of self-image. After having tackled your mental attitude, the next thing is to learn to understand other people.
Remember that other people are also human beings. The person who seem very important, the people in whose company we seem to lose our confidence are just human beings . the people with whom we come into contact have worries and troubles that we know nothing about . very often their attitude is a cover for lack of courage.
Having begun to build up your own mental attitude, the important step is action.
You must ask yourself ‘What exactly is it that I am afraid of?’ All problems become smaller if you face them. They only seem large when you run away from them.
Having decided on your course of action, you should go ahead and run the risk of making a mistake . courage is the willingness to make a mistake . if you make a mistake you can always learn from it. This is the answer to the problem of fear. Everybody is afraid of something at sometime. The only difference is that courageous people go ahead despite their fear.
You can change your attitudes by changing your physical actions. If it is a job you have to do, go ahead as if it were well within your capacity. If it is a person you are meeting, look him directly in the face and act as though it were a privilege fro him to meet you.
Speak clearly and if you greet people do it with a firm grip. Begin to practice acting boldly and with courage in little things. Act courageously with the very next person you meet speak up and give your point of view in everyday conversation. Insist on getting exactly what you want in a shop and don’t be easily led to buying something else. It is being courageous in little subjects that makes us courageous in big subjects.
Make the following points a daily feature.
Begin the day positively. When you wake up, make an affirmation that reminds you of your worth. Plan you day. If you have work to do, decide in what order it must be done and go steadily ahead. For your leisurelier, plan the activities you wan to take part in. avoid wasting of time.
Select a place at sometimes in the day when you have time to be quiet for few minutes take walk in the garden.
Repeat you affirmation and let you mind dwell upon the wonders of the creation.
Use every opportunity that comes, either in performing work. In meeting people or to act courageously.
You have planned your day which means that you have made yourself the master of the day. You have reminded yourself of your worth. Use every opportunity for putting these ideas into practice.
At the end of the day as you go to rest, make a quick mental review and note the things for which you are thankful and the ways in which life has been good.
If you follow these simple steps, you will find yourself approaching life with a completely new attitude . the courage for which you have waited so long will become a reality.

On Forgetfulness
In all walks of life, whatever the profession or calling may be, we have irritants around (unawares we become one too). But what really bothers us is the irritant that irritates us. We come home from office resentful. And unable to control our irritation now and then, we cast our resentment on our family. Then we feel our family miserable. When we get to bed we cannot sleep as we plan ways to do away with the cause of irritation. We get up in the morning we go about our work sit at our desk and bury our resentment temporarily.
Then there comes a time when we go to bead and hit the pillow again. We are utterly alone with our thoughts and we take inventory or ourselves, our assets and liabilities. Then we ask ourselves what we forgot to do during the day that has gone forever.
All this happens to me and so I feel it might be the case with everybody. When I take stock of the day I suddenly remember many things I forgot during the course of the day-that I forget to smile. I forgot to compliment someone for a deed well done, for a word well spoken, forgot that I can be happy, that I can forget my resentment, violence, negative feelings hat take me away from myself and make me the small person I actually am not. I realize that I even forget that I am born to succeed in life, that I have priceless assets within me that God blessed me with, that I have dignity because I am made in God’s image, forgot to be sincere, the need to understand the needs of others, to be compassionate an self-confident, failed to accept my self for what I am and not try to be someone else.
So after recollecting what you forget today make a decision what you should not forget the following day, relax your mind and have sound sleep. When you get up next morning recollect the decision you made the previous night, adhere to that and have peace of mind Make this your habit and reach your goals sooner.

Tolerance Leads To Happiness
Tolerance means magnanimity and patience. Tolerance is a sign of respect and consideration for others. It is virtue.
When someone points out your mistake , don’t lose your temper. Resist the urge to quarrel with the other person. Instead, ask yourself. “Am I wrong? If the other person, perhaps, is right?’
Tolerance makes a person develop wider vision. Don’t allow yourself to be disturbed by small irritations. If your assistant hs not drafted a letter well, don’t throw it on his face; you can just explain how to improve the message. This will enable him to resolve not to repeat the mistake. Learn to accept what is disagreeable . You will then enjoy greater freedom of thought and expression.
There will be occasions when you feel incidents are taking place to try your patience. When you are in such a mood, your neighbor’s courteous enquiries seem disturbance; the laughter of the children at play seems like nerve-shattering sound. It is only when you exercise patience and tolerance in day-to-day happenings, you can enjoy peace of mind and understanding of family members, friends and others in the right way.
Indeed, developing tolerance is not easy but worth trying. Once you have learnt the art of loving and giving you can easily be tolerant.
Be kind towards the weak and poor. Never discriminate people for reasons or religion, case and creed. Learn to rise above narrow loyalties so that you can broaden your outlook.
Why should we learn from?
An ant? To go in queue and save things for the future.
A dog? To be faithful and active forever.
A honeybee? To keep ourselves busy and offer sweetness to all.
A cow? To nourish all like a mother.
A cuckoo? To please others by the sweetness in our voice.
A flower? To make all happy without any distinction.
A tree? To shelter the needy, enemy or friend.
A river? To love and serve all around.
Definite Action
Liberty does not consist, my fellow citizens, in mere declarations of the rights of man. It consists in the translation of those declarations into definite actions.

People in key jobs are usually surrounded by a hype. This work based hype makes us a bit haughty. Too. It is , indeed, music to our ears when people remark many people work under him/her, or …”is like a mini boss to us”; Oh!.. is part of major official decisions’ and often, be essence of these flattering remarks goes to our heads.
If you feel that this is confined to ‘big wings’, you are mistaken. Even middle-order job positions also carry such an aura around them. The workforce concerned or candidates holding such positions truly enjoy their boosted image. But the sailing is quite smooth as long as they don’t rub the flatters on the wrong side. As long as this does not happen, you can enjoy the puff and glamour of it. The real trouble comes calling when you really start believing that “ you are the best”. When you start insisting your status, the yes-men/women never responded you honestly and have even kept bad news away form your ears.
On the other hand, your insistence paints you cold, haughty, and pompous, eroding into total destruction of your image. The trust and support of your sycophant colleagues and subordinates vanishes. The end result is the accelerated stress and anxiety as you become paranoid about losing your importance. So you must realize that such hype or false image you have let the people surrounding you, build about you, doesn’t help you in any way. You ought to strike a balance in your relationship with your colleagues, subordinates and not indulge in ‘self-love or egotism.
In order to attain this balanced state of mind, you should kick off delusions about yourself. Always strive to keep yourself firmly panted in reality, in true perspective-you are not irreplaceable at all. This is possible only when your are detached, dispassionate and work with humility by not taking your position too seriously. Don’t bother how other treat you or think of you . Be focused solely on your work. This will give you a simple and calm outlook which will help you to free yourself from the over whelming feeling of self importance.
So stay humble and focused and be ahead on your path to success.
Poised and focused are the mantra to succeed.
Don’t Be Afraid To Trust Faith
Every individual forms his own estimate of himself and that basic estimate goes far towards determining what he becomes . You can do no more than you trust you can. You can be more than you think you are . Trust simulates power within yourself. Have faith in faith. Don’t be afraid to trust faith.
Learn to Balance Anxiety
As long as we walk on a smooth and straight path, we enjoy the walk, But when a U turn comes, we pause, anxiously wait to hear the sound of the oncoming vehicles in the opposite direction. Suddenly our joy comes to an end.
Sudden changes make us anxious. To avoid anxiety, we shun and resist changes. We do not try to adapt ourselves so changes.
No doubt certain things in our lives are beyond our control. But certainly, there are things which are under our control; anxiety is one of them. Infect, it has its positive effects on us as it keeps us comes. So we must learn to balance our anxiety and use it to explore new avenues of growth. Lest it leads to adverse effect on our health and creates confusion in our career.
Remember great leaders have tamed anxiety and converted it into positive driving force. All great achievers share certain common personality traits such as; the ability to embrace change; skill to learn from every situation and openness of mind to new idea; have ambitious plans to future, ability to act appropriately at the right time by neither delaying in making decisions nor making hasty decisions, willingness to adapt new ideas and stretch to new goals and above all manage the anxiety and help others do the same. Some amount of anxiety is necessary to push you out of your comfort zone and make you realize your potentialities . learn to balance anxiety.

What I Learnt From Life
Oscar Wilde, master of sparkling prose and ever lasting witty poems once said that Experience is the name we give to our mistakes. The man who boasts of having the richest experience might be the one who has made the largest number of mistakes.
There are times when a small crisis appears terrible but then by the same time next day, it has lost its dimension and a little later, it has faded into memory. How much would it help us to take life’s problems with equanimity, if only we could remember the words of and old song “What would it matter, a ten years from now?’
I have learnt that human life is a difficult riddle to solve. Good people suffer, the evil ones thrive. A long time ago, in Israel, and old man sat writing a book into which he poured out al his wisdom. In lines of memorable prose he wrote: “The race is to the swift, nor the battle to the strong”.
What does this mean? As I understand it, it means that things happen to each one of us, which have no relationship to our birth or intelligence or any other qualities. So we see the not infrequent instances of very bright young men under employed or sometimes unemployed, the not-so-bright ones in positions of power and prestige. I have therefore learnt that in the interests of our own health we should not compare ourselves with those who are better off than us but count our own blessings and be grateful to God.
Think of this famous Arabian proverb which can restore sanity to the troubled world. “I had no shoes and I murmured until I met a man who had no feet.”
Speak To Everyone Kindly Lovingly, Gently
Confucius, the great Chinese philosopher was in deathbed. His near and dear ones surrounded his bed. Weakly, he whispered. “Can you see what is in my mouth?’
The old philosopher has lost al his teeth. So they replied, “We only seethe tongue”.
After a while , Confucius asked them “What is in your mouth?”
“We have both our tongues and teeth”, they answered.
The wise old man then told them, “When man is born, he is born only with a tongue. The teeth come in gradually. They are harder and stronger than the tongue! But as man grows older, his hard, strong teeth drop off gradually. Only the tongue, soft and gentle , lasts till the end”.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome? IBS?
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is the most common chronic health disorder in America, Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, affecting more people than asthma, diabetes, and depression combined. Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a physical - not psychological - disorder that affects mainly the bowel, which is also called the large intestine. The bowel is the part of the digestive system that makes and stores stool. IBS is characterized by its symptoms: lower abdominal pain or discomfort, diarrhea, constipation (or alternating diarrhea/constipation), gas, bloating, and nausea. There is no cure for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but there are many very effective ways of controlling and even eliminating IBS symptoms.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is not a disease. It's a functional disorder, which means that the bowel simply does not work as it should. Irritable Bowel Syndrome is characterized as a brain-gut dysfunction.

Symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome - What Are IBS Symptoms?
It's important to verify that your symptoms match those of IBS before you accept this diagnosis. As noted, Irritable Bowel Syndrome is characterized by its symptoms: continuous or recurrent lower abdominal pain or cramping (from mild to excruciating) in association with altered bowel motility (diarrhea, constipation, or both). Attacks may strike suddenly at any time of day or night, and may occasionally - though not typically - wake you from a sound sleep. Gas and bloating are common, but vomiting isn't, though it can occur due to nausea from the pain. Upper GI symptoms are not a typical part of the syndrome. For women, attacks are often associated with menstruation. Passing blood, running a fever, swollen extremities, and joint pain are not symptoms of IBS, and point to other disorders. IBS is diagnosed in part by the use of the official diagnostic criteria known as the Rome Guidelines.

What Symptoms and Diseases Need to Be Ruled Out For an IBS Diagnosis?
In essence, the diagnosis of IBS is a process of exclusion. There is no medical test available that will be positive for IBS; instead, your doctor will test you for all other illnesses that can mimic IBS symptoms, and if those tests are negative, and if your symptoms fit the Rome Guidelines for Diagnosis, you'll then be diagnosed with IBS. In particular, it's important that the following diseases are excluded before you accept a diagnosis of IBS:

Sure Steps To Attain Your Goal
Success does not come to those who just watch the world pass by. You mist have your goal. Here are ten methods to help you reach your goal and achieve success.
Have a Dream: Write Down What you Wish To Achieve! Everything starts with dreams, desires, goals etc. they will always be more than you presently have. If they were not , you would not want them. The most important thing you can do is write these ideas down as they happen. You can then capture all that is important to you. With constant review in a short time, you will begin to realize how important each and every goal is and you will sub consciously work out ways to achieve them.
Your Needs: There are four types of needs you will take into account; a)Physical Needs; b)Emotional Needs)Social Needs; d)Financial Needs.
You will find your day-to-day living requires something from all these groups. For example your physical needs could be as simple as playing a game to keep you fit. Your financial needs will be such as to have as much money at your disposal to accomplish what you wish.
As your goals becomes more clear in your mind, you will be able to understand the importance of each of these four needs.
Plan Thoroughly: Now that you know what you want you will now need to start bridging the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. Now that you are in the practice of writing things down that are important to you , you may have started to plan and prepare. Prepare Thoroughly. You cannot lost it you plan well.
One step At A Time
Plan well, set realistic targets. Plan to succeed from the outset.
Always Be Positive: To get to your goal you will need to brush away the negative attitudes. A healthy positive attitude is not enough on its own but it will open your mind to the several possibilities that exist on your journey to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
If you have a positive attitude to everything this will overflow into your achievement.
Persist Until You Succeed: Your desire for achievement will need to be supported with persistence.
With out being persistent, you may not get there. Where you get knocked down-getup again every knock down is simply a brief pause on the step during your ascendancy to the next floor. Learn from it and persist until you succeed.
Don’t Dream it! Be it!: Even the best, well thought out plan means nothing until its implementation. Action is the key. It is important to contemplated your next step before you take it with well structured plan.
Stay Active And Alert: Be up-to-date in your field of expertise so that you can always offer the best advise. Staying alert and active in your chosen field will give you an edge over your competitions.
Review Regularly: At regular intervals review your performance. Make comparisons with where you are compared with where you want to be. If it is not as good as you want either adjust the goal or the method for its achievement accordingly.
Do not disappointed if you cannot do it all at the first time as planned. You will need to confront obstacles in order to learn how to make things easier in the future. Making mistakes and adjusting you plan takes maturity. It come with extensive review and Self-analysis. The solutions will become simpler with periodical review of your targets.
Enjoy Yourself ; If you do not actively enjoy what you do, how can you expect to get so much from it? To be successful in what you do, you must really enjoy what you do.

We may study scripture or listen to lectures. But our study and learning will be in vain if we are not able to absorb the teachings and put them into practice in our lives. If a scriptures can show the path to a monastic but not a married person, why would the married want such lopsided scripture? A scripture may help us only when we give up work and retire to a forest, but it may not help us in the din and bustle of the world, in the daily toil, in disease, sorrow and poverty, in the depression that follows repentance, in the revolt of the oppressed, in the cruelty on the battlefield, in lust, in anger, enjoy, in exuberance of victory, in the darkness of defeat , and finally, in the dark night of death. If the scripture cannot light the lamp of hope in such situations, then weak as we are, such a scripture is useless to us.

We often hear, especially during grand occasions, ‘roll out the red carpet’ or ‘red carpet’ reception. It is something that people do when they wish to give a regal reception to someone special. This is a way of giving a special welcome. We often hear of ‘red carpet’ treatment in the same sense. Probably this idiom originated from the practice of olden days when kings and Queens and other from royal households were received with a red carpet rolled out on which they trod. We often see a similar practice when heads of state, actors, sports man and other high achievers are received. What ever may be the origin, it , is indeed, regal when someone rolls out a red carpet for you.
‘Cavat’- pronounced ‘Ka-vi-at’ is quite a formal usage. It means warning or caution. It means warning or caution. It originates from the Latin ‘Cavere’ which means ‘Let him beware’. It is very frequently used in the legal context. In the context of law means ‘ a formal notice to suspend action until the party that filed the action can be heard’.

Once an individual determines that he wants a new way of life, then he has turned the key to unlock the secret door to success. Here are ten vital points for brining about a radical change in one’s life and for enriching oneself with ethical and spiritual values:
1. Develop a keen desire to become better mentally and physically. Sustain and intensify your desire by concentrated effort. The will to change must be sustained day by day.
2. Review your life. See the errors of the past, and learn lessons from them. Then put the past behind. There is no need for constantly looking back and feeling sorry over what is gone.
3. Determine what is your ideal. What kind of personality do you want to become? Ideally you should seek for perfection and purity. However, this cannot be accomplished overnight.
4. A power of observation and a keen sense of objectivity these are the ingredients for avoiding the offensive qualities that are playing humanity today. Wage war against the petty qualities of all-consuming jealousy, greed for money, the gossiping habit, and intense hatred.
5. Bitterness is one of the greatest obstacles to becoming better in body, mind and spirit. In a secret manner it spreads into every part of one’s personality. Bitterness develops when one’s cherished desires are prevented. It is enhanced by the recollection of sorrowful events of the past. A bitter memory must be checked by asserting; “What was before is gone and cannot be redone. But I am the architect of my destiny. Let me handle the present situation, and build a golden future”.
6. In order to make a sweeping change in your life you should entertain a new current of thought. Let a new philosophical outlook emerge out of the ashes from the ruins of the past. Allow the sweet breeze of spring to blow across your mind.
7. Read aloud any inspiring passage from your favorite scripture for few minutes every day. Listen to your voice. As the days pass by you will find more and more comfort and strength from these readings.
8. Write on your mirror each morning the virtue you will try to highlight for the day. If it is selflessness, try to observer your mind during the day. Set apart of least and hour for rendering selfless service to others. Next day write another virtue on the mirror. Thus each day will be challenge for you. Gradually you will develop a keen and alert intellect an intellect that is sensitive to the feelings and difficulties of others. Be aware of your deeper Self. You will discover unexpected happiness from within yourself. Your ego will reduce automatically.
9. Prayer never goes in vain. Rather, every prayer creates a subtle potency. It draws to you the positive elements that are needed for the unfoldment of your spirit . you begin to enjoy a new kind of happiness, and an unusual peace. Prayer leads you on to the amazing heights of spiritual glory.
10. Lastly, but not lesser in importance , is the fact that everyone should have a spiritual guide-a guru. If this is not possible, one should be guided by the spiritual literature written the cave of your heart, there abides God. Whose is guiding you constantly towards the realms of calmness , peace, beyond human expectations, and bliss that is boundless.
Nothing can be achieved without discipline and simplicity. Be persistanent in your effort. You are bound to realize your goal.

Work is unavoidable. But we should, as Sri Ramkrishna said, work like a maid in the house of a rich person. She does all the work there. She also baby-sits the children; she is happy in their joy and in their suffering But in her heart of heart she knows that she doesn’t belong to them and the family may discontinue her service at any time they wish . we too must live in the world in the same way.

Efficiency Means
Efficiency means making the best use of your time and talent so that you live to full rich level in all the fields of your personal and social life. Anyone who want to be efficient must know what exactly he expects in his life and carrier. Once he knows this he can more on a straight line to his target-goal.
John F Kennedy said, “My fellow citizens, ask not what your country can do for your country”.
Once your main goals are set up, rest of the work is comparatively more easy. To attain them you can be helped considerably by three qualities-perseverance, cheerfulness and sing mindedness
You must not be discouraged by failures or temporary setback, said Vivekananda. You must look at everything from its best side. Even from prison bars you must see the stars and not the mud!.

There is Chinese story of an old farmer who had an old horse for tilling his fields. One day the horse escaped into the hills and when all the farmer’s neighbors sympathized with the old man over his bad luck, the farmer replied. ‘Bad Luck? Good Luck? Who Knows?’ A week later the horse returned with a herd of wild horses from the hills and his time the neighbours congratulated the farmer on his good luck. His reply was, ‘Good luck? Bad luck? Who knows? Then, when the farmer’s son was attempting to tame one of the wild horses, he fell of its back and broke his leg. Everyone thought this very bad luck. Not the farmer whose only reaction was. ‘Bad Luck?Good Luck?Who Knows?. Some weeks later the army marched into the village and look into military service every able bodied youth they found there. When they see the farmer’s son with his broken leg they let him off . Now was that good luck? Bad luck? Who Knows?
Every thing that seems on the surface to be an evil may be a good in disguise. And everything that seems good ont eh surface may really be an evil. So we are wise when we leave it to God to decide what is good luck and what is bad luck and thank Him so that all things turn out for good what those who love Him-From the book”Sadhana”

Harmony between Jnana and Karma
According to Karma Yoga, we have got to work. We can never remain without working; so long as the body exists, some work or other must be doing . it is impossible for us to give up work.
On the other hand, we read in the scriptures. “So long as we cannot give up all work, we are far away from attaining knowledge and spiritual freedom. ‘
At casual glance, the two ideas appear to be highly contradictory. It is very difficult to harmonize the two views. In the Gita Sri Krishna offers the teaching of Krama Yoga to harmonize these two apparently conflicting views. He agrees that unless we reach the state of toal non-work, we shall attain neither knowledge nor peace. But that stage cannot be reached through mere physical abstaincee from work. That, in fact, will only make us hypocrites. Once we reach the blessed state of non-work, our body right continue to work but every moment we shall be aware of the truth that “ I am not doing any work. I am totally separate from the body and the senses,” Work can be done with such sill that , as we go on working, we gradually attain that state. The central focus of Krma Yoga, therefore, is on training oneself to be non-working even while working.

If you gather 100 experienced mangers together and ask for their advice, here is what you would hear;
1. Don’t be afraid of the phrase, “I don’t know”.
If you don’t know the answer, don’t try to bluff. If you are at fault, take the blame. If you are wrong, apologies. A wise person once said, “If you always tell the truth, you never have to remember anything’.
2. Never gossip.
If someone wants to gossip with you, politely say you are not interested. This corporate rule rings true; “When someone gossips, two careers are hurt-the person being talked about and the person doing the talking”.
3. No task is beneath you.
Don’t think you are above anything. Be a good example and take up the job-especially if the job is one that nobody wants to do.
4. Share the credit whenever possible.
Manager who spread credit around look much stronger than those who take all the credit themselves.
5. Ask for help.
If you think you are in trouble, before it gets out of had, ask someone for help-most people enjoy lending a hand. Besides saving yourself from embarrassment, you will make a friend.
6. When you don’t like someone, don’t let it show.
This is especially true if you outrank them. Never offend other as you move ahead.
7. Let it go.

Do's and Don'ts

Don’t
To get a better position, you need a better disposition.
Don’t get into the habit of arriving late at work every morning. If you can arrive consistently late, it is just as easy to arrive on time.
Don’t continually ask your employer for permission to come late.
Don’t be clock-watcher. If overtime work is occasionally unavoidable, do it a willing heart.
Don’t try to pass the blame on to others when you make mistakes.
Don’t show bitterness. If you are blamed for making a mistakes.
Don’t gossip about the other people in your office.
Don’t make unnecessary complaints. If you have a genuine complaint, make sure you put it to the right person.
Don’t give confidential, information to other members of the staff or worse to outsiders.
Don’t make a large number of telephone calls during the working hours and if your friend rings up, don’t waste hours of your employer’s time chatting to him.
Don’t pick up and read letter, accounts or anything of a private nature lying on a colleague’s desk.
Don’t be a salve to your superior or arrogant towards inferiors. Maintain your dignity and self-respect and exhibit a regard for the feelings of others people. – (Courtesy: “Inspirational Quote”)
Value of A Smile
Be generous with your smiles. The good that they can do for yourself and for others is far reaching.
Smiling at a person who is troubled or who feels lonely or friendless can be worth a great deal more to him than you can realize. It will less alone in the world and it will give him new strength to work towards over coming his problems .
You may feel that you do not know just the right things to say to express your feelings to one who is troubled and needs your friendship. Often a smile that implies, “ I understand , I want to help you if I can; I am here if you need me, I am your friend, “ is of more value than any words.
Some persons fail to return a friendly smile. Make it a point to smile at everyone you meet and to accompany the smile with a pleasant , cheerful greeting . Soon everyone around you will smiling and you will be surrounded by good cheer and friendliness.
Smile, whether you feel like smiling or not and you will be surprise at how soon you will be feeling better.
Among other wonderful things that it can accomplish, a smile can win a new friend , help to heal a wound, influence a prospective employer in considering and application, clear away anger, lighten cares and improve a bad mood.
Smiles are priceless thing and yet they cost nothing. Spread them freely and receive the price less rewards that are sure to follow wherever you go. –“East and West Series.”

From what has been said so far, it is easy to understand why all of us are not born with the same intellectual capacity. Or why the mind and body of each person is dissimilar from those of every other person. Or why there exist natural differences in our mental and spiritual lives. The theory of rebirth alone can explain this. Western scholars try to explain away these obvious differences by saying that the child derives its qualities-good and bad-from its parents. There is no doubt that to a large extent the child inherits various diseases and mental characteristics from its parents. When the child is in no respect similar to its parents, they try to ascribe it to the differences in education. In this way the parents and the teachers are bounded with the sole responsibility. These scholars can offer no other solution to explain the differences among people.
The Vedanta scriptures say that these differences are due to karma, our past actions. Whoever we perform any action, it is done with a purpose in order to achieve that purpose, we activate the forces. Within us and around us in a particular way. Once all these forces are awakened and activated, they cannot but produce certain changes as a result. Thee changes are experienced or considered by us a good, or bad , joyful or sorrowful. If experienced as good or joyful, the mind wanted to hold on to the changes for all time. On the other had, if the changes are experienced as bad or sorrowful, or those which would surely bring sorrow in the future, then the mind tires to get rid of them by all possible means . in this way our work produces joy or sorrow and also leads to more work, just as from a seed springs from a tree which in turn produces flowers, fruits, and more seeds. It is clear that this life is not sufficient is experiences the results of all our work in the form of joy and sorrow. These effects are thus experience in the next bright.
I drive joy
There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 5 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime.
