How is it done when the clouds draw a bind over the brightness? It is all in the mind. Make your own glory wherever you go, seeing the sun through the rain and the snow.
When you wakeup in the morning from sleep do not let your thoughts slip away and go deep into old grooves of depression. Take charge. Your will-power asserts and you vision enlarges. Turn them by force to the right attitude, away from the wrong and negative mood. You are the master; so they must obey . Make it a wonderful day.
Working steam is not heard. It is the escaping steam, which makes a great noise.
My advice to you concerning applause is this: enjoy it but never quite believe it.

It is time for youngsters to embark on a new line of study to achieve the desired result for a career. And for those, who have not, to recount and find out reasons.
Remember , people are not only mistake makers, but are also mistake breakers. You also remember that as long as you live you will be making mistakes, correcting them and learning valuable lessons. The course of action doesn’t lie in not liking yourself. The point to remember is that you must rise above your little self. You must endeavor to be steadfast , accept your weakness and be courageous in moments of crisis. Meaning and Interpretation
That’s natural my m3aning is my meaning , your meaning will be your meaning-how can they be the same? They cannot be. Your interpretation will come out of you, it will grow out of your.. When you read the Bhagvad Gita you don’t read Krishna, you read yourself there. When you read the Ramayana you don’t read Rama, you read yourself there. Your interpretation is not there in the book, your interpretation is projected onto the book. The book is just an excuse . It is natural.
Here you have gathered around me; if there are a thousand people here, there are a thousand meanings that they give to each of my statements. And it is very rare that you get the meaning that I want you to get from it. The moment you get that meaning you start participating in my being. In that moment you disappear, you mind disappears. In that moment you melt into me and you allow me to melt into you.

Childish
Childish
Children-have you not felt jealous? Maybe because you feel so jealous, that’s why you go on condemning childishness. You go on condemning. Montague’s is right when he says that instead of telling people “Don’t be childish” we should start telling people “Don’t be adultish.” He is right, I agree; a child is beautiful, the adult is what ugliness is . He is no more a flow he is blocked in many ways. He is frozen he is dull and dead. He has lost zest, he has lost enthusiasm, he is simply dragging. He is bored, he has no sense of mystery. He never feels surprised; he has forgotten the language of wonder. Mystery has disappeared for him. He has explanations; mystery is no more there. Hence he has lost poetry and the dance and all that is valuable and all that gives meaning and significance to life, all that gives flavour to life.

How Determined Are You
Life is not all smooth sailing. There are times when we run into rough weather and find ourselves having to cope with difficult people and situations.
Determination enables us to do this successfully. It keeps us trying and brings us through the ups and downs of life.
Try this test and see how determined you are. Answer Yes or No to eh questions before turning to the key.

Always be positive
Once upon a time there were some baby frogs participating in a competition. The target was to reach the top of a high tower. A crowd of people gathered to observe the race. The start-bell rang out. Quite honestly, none of the onlookers believed that the baby frogs could actually accomplish to reach the top of the tower. Words of doubt wee heard from the crowd.
One day one, some of the baby frogs fell off. Yet a few could climb higher and higher. The crowd kept on yelling ! “It is too difficult. Nobody is going to make it !
More baby frogs became tired and gave up . But one kept going higher and higher and he was not giving up ! At the end everybody had given up! At the other participants naturally wanted to know how he had managed to do what others wee unable to do! One competitor asked the winner, what the secret was. The winner replied that he was deaf.
Be positive always! Turn a deaf ear when people tell you, that you cannot reach your goal! Always believe You can make it!!!
Moral- Never listen to people who are negative in thinking. Always be aware of the power of words, as everything you hear and read will interfere with your actions!
We are most nearly ourselves when we achieve the seriousness of the child play.

Determination
Everyone has some form of hope, desire or dream of attainment. The reason that only few capture the great prizes of life is that this ambition is not strong enough in most people. To achieve anything worthwhile in life, we must have a firm determination that knows no defeat. We must set our sight on the object of our heart’s desire and never deviate from the course we set for attaining it.
Our desire must become a burning desire- a bold will that will never bend. An ordinary desire lacks the passion that is found in burning desire. When we resolve to achieve with this sort of passion, there is nothing that can hinder us from reaching the loftiest height of accomplishment. Assertiveness
Assertiveness is a technique to improve the way you get along with people and communicate. They may not seem important. But you would be surprised when you understand what a big difference you have made by communicating effectively. By being assertive and communicative you become clear but not rude. You tend to listen more to others so that you understand others’ view better. Learning to be assertive requires lot of effort. One has to be patient, and more amiable to acquire it. These two traits help you break away from rude behavior patterns.
In difficult situation most people end up being aggressive. Such situation leaves a bitter scar on one’s mind. Sometimes, though we are assertive, we won’t get what we want. But still it gives us the satisfaction that we have stood up for our views and respected others.
What is to be done to cultivate assertiveness?
One has to be direct in stating one’s expectation clearly. This directness cleans all confusions.
Your calmness and composure sometimes expose the immaturity of others and perhaps, give you upper hand to handle a situation tactfully.
In order to be assertive, one need not necessarily be rude or bossy but one can still be assertive with polite with polite but firm voice.

Life never has a smooth path. Our journey on it is bumpy. Many a time we find ourselves in a crisis. We feel desperate, helpless, lonely and depressed. Causes of this may be many and vary from person to person. But the solution to its is certainly similar. If we learn how to cope up with emotional crisis, we may be able to tackle this more gracefully.
When you find yourself in a situation of this sort, keep, communication open and ongoing. Don’t suppress your feelings and think that others might belittle you. Sure, you will have somebody in your family or your social circle, lean on them. A talk to someone about your problems may promote your mental health, ease you out of an embarrassing moment of your life. Certainly, it serves as an outlet to your pent up anger and helplessness.
Yet another way to overcome an emotional crisis is getting involved in a support group and accepting help with no second thought. When you are down and out , that is ,when you need others to lift your spirits, you need a few words of encouragement with the help of which you will be in a better position to regain your lost self-confidence.
A counselor can lend a helping hand to you . They help you define, understand, and cope up with your problems. You must understand, and cope up with your problems. You must understand, that when you are distraught, you need to be more focused. When you are made to understand, you will be able to find a solution for your own problem. Slowly you develop the needed acumen to handle your emotions when a similar situation arises in your life.

The first principle of true teaching is that nothing can be taught. The teacher is not an instructor or taskmaster; he is a helper and a guide.
The second principles is that mind has to be consulted in its own growth. The child must be induced to expand in accordance with its own nature.
The third principle of education is to work from the near to the far. The basis of man’s nature is almost always in addition to his soul’s past, his heredity, his surroundings, his nationality, his country, the soil from which he draws substance, the air which he breathes, the sights, the sound habits to which he is accustomed.
There are three things which are of utmost importance in dealing with a man’s moral nature, the emotions, the samskaras or formed habits and associations , and the svabhava or nature, . the only way for him to train himself morality is to habituate himself to the right emotions, the noblest associations, the best mental emotional and physical habits and the following outright action of the fundamental impulses of his essentials Nature.

Mass and energy
The elusive Higgs-Boson particle popularly called the God-particle is the focus of the world's largest scientific experiment. If identified, it would help explain why some subatomic particles are heavy and have a greater mass than others.
Hindu tradition believes that the entire cosmos is a combination of Shiva and Shakti. Shiva represents tangible matter and Shakti, intangible energy and qualitative aspect associated with matter. Mass and energy are interconvertible. Shiva and Shakti are also deeply interrelated; they cannot be separated.
The particle is like Shiva and the charge, spin, mass energy and such parameters are like Shakti . Looking for the Higgs-Boson particle is like looking for Shiva in Shakti finding the cause of the particle's mass ^ when actually they are both just different manifestations of the supreme unity. The entire experiment is analogous to finding the quantitative basis of a quality. Like trying to find a particle that makes beauty beautiful. Is it possible to find a tangible quantitative parameter for a very fundamental attribute?
Beauty is because there is an observer. The observer is also as much a manifestation as the observed entity as the act of observation. Nothing exists a priori. Even if the Big Bang theory were to be ratified, the bigger issue of who engineered its initiation still remains. And if space was also a derivative of the Big Bang, then in what space did this phenomenal expansion take place?
Every objective existence is entirely a function of the observer. So any phenomenon is inexorably connected with the noumenon. Subject and object are interdependent on cognition. Like the quaint example of a falling tree in the forest. If no one has seen it falling, then it never fell. The supreme knowledge ^ unification or segregation of Shiva and Shakti cannot be studied or experimentally verified. It has to be experienced. One has to become it. Meaning that the knower-knowledge distinction is no longer there.
Science might keep trying to satiate its unquenchable desire for tangibility but the end point of this endeavour will only yield ambiguity. Because the fundamental truth is that the observer in any experiment is a constituent of it. Identification and ratification of observer-observed dichotomy is an apparition. The hypnotic spell of maya . The greatest quality of maya is that it appears uniform to one and all. So, if everyone is unanimous about the existence of a tree, then it has to be there. Maya creates a uniform and consistent mirage and statistics coerce the senses into believing the appearance.
Physics didn't stop looking once Einstein proclaimed and proved the interconvertibility of mass and energy. Quantum physics opened a Pandora's box and ridiculed logic and the basis of scientific deduction. Quantum theory is virtually the science of the improbable, scientific logic leading to the illogical. It has come up with bizarre predictions like Schroedinger's cat supposition. We have tried to understand nature through a narrow prism and force its entirety into a limited frame of comprehension.
Probably, failure to demonstrate the Higgs-Boson particle might impel us to turn inwards and seek to redefine scientific approach. The Higgs-Boson particle is just a logical extrapolation of our limited understanding. It might just end up being the non-existent proof of a non-existent theory...
Experience never needed any experiment since it cannot be reproduced at will and under specified conditions. Probably unraveling the entire mystery of Creation needs not a Large Hadron Collider but a large perception assimilator.

Stress Busters.
You cannot smooth out the surf, but you can learn to ride the waves.
Life consists of ups and downs. Rather than trying to avoid all negative feelings, learn to accept down times as a normal part of life and become skilled at dealing with those feelings in a healthy way.
Try to avoid or at least spend less time with people who are constantly angry, pessimistic, frightening or critical. If any of these people are in your immediate family, recognize that you cannot change them, but you can work on setting limits and boundaries to reduce the number and frequency of stressful interactions.
A research study at Philadaelphia’s St. Joseph university has shown that writing about problems and possible solutions may improve both physical and psychological health. Try writing about whatever is currently causing you the most stress, including your honest feelings about it. When you have finished, either keep what you have written to refer to later or tear up the paper and throw it away.
Do not let yourself be pushed into making important decisions without enough thought. You may be asking for trouble by not taking the time necessary to consider the potential results of your choices.
Absolute and relative states of freedom-
Metals are good conductors of electricity and heat, unlike non-metals. Although electrons constitute a major component of both, the nature of these particles makes the difference.
While in non-metals the electrons are not free, in metals there are both free and non-free (bound) electrons. The free electrons are responsible for most of the distinguishing properties of metals.
There is the value of freedom in material bodies. Its importance is no less in life. If a person is asked to choose between wealth and freedom, a rational man would probably choose the latter. The history of civilisation is the progress from bondage to freedom. Indeed the richness of a civilisation depends on the degree of freedom enjoyed by the people.
Freedom is synonymous with positive energy, whereas bondage represents negative energy. Just as a material particle can be excited from a bound to a free state by acquiring energy, a person can acquire freedom from bondage by acquiring energy.
A person can lose freedom by losing energy. What is the source of this energy? Education liberates. It creates self-confidence, courage, equanimity and fair-play in a person. It releases us from ignorance and paves the way for knowledge. It takes us from darkness to light. It gives hope when we are in despair.
Freedom is related to necessity. If our necessities are ignored, we do not enjoy freedom. Anybody can think freely. However, if the society or state imposes constraints in translating thoughts into action, it deprives us of our freedom. If we are not responsible, freedom is of little value.
No one is entirely free or wholly bound. Every one of us enjoys some degree of freedom and is bound in some way or other. Just as opposites coexist in nature, we also have both freedom and bondage. Bondage, rather freedom, binds us together, be it in the family, in society or in a larger entity like the country. In a broader sense, there is universal freedom. Bondage resulting from love and affection, gratitude and sense of duty is a virtue. Sometimes we are bound by laws and rules. We accept this as our duty.
It is the bondage among constituents, rather than their freedom, which is responsible for the stability of a material, too. The science of materials can show how bondage, combined with freedom, leads to extraordinary situations. Freedom of electrons is the cause of electrical conductivity in metals. However, if this freedom results from bondage, then it can give rise to superconductivity of infinite current. Superconductivity sets in when two free electrons of certain opposite quantum characteristics bind together.
Indic philosophy suggests that a soul becomes absolutely free, when it, the jeevatma, binds wholly or is in perfect union with the super-soul, the paramatma. This statement leads to knowledge which proclaims that absolute bondage manifests in absolute freedom. The scientific example appears to be a close congruence of this, though there might be different perceptions.
The relationship between freedom and bondage can be scientifically understood within the uncertainty principle of quantum theory, which states that confinement increases kinetic energy. For example, if we wish to locate an electron by using the particle of light-photon, as a probe, it hits the electron, which runs away. Confinement stands for bondage and kinetic energy leads to freedom. It is justified spiritually on the basis of what Krishna says to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita: "Abandoning all other activities, come into my fold (bondage); I shall free you from all worldly bondages." Importance of Critical Thinking
Now- a-days, most of us have developed herd mentality. This has grown into a so strong a habit that it is deeply ingrained in our lives. Even the things we buy, we routinely buy what our friends, relatives recommend; even the advertisements influence us. For whatever we do, we seek approval of other or simply do what others do. Our values, our assumptions, infect, everything we do and hold are done without ever questioning.
What is wanting, is out of-the-box thinking, original thought and critical analysis. Just imagine for a moment, how much more efficient we could become if we apply critical thinking. When we do so right through our routine tasks to making important decisions, we can come to more logical conclusions and mange ourselves better.
Critical thinking requires taking charge of our thought process. It involves rational analysis, dispassionate evaluation and prudence to fosters open-mindedness, discipline and better judgment. When we attain this sate of mind, we gain enriched communications and self-expression. Among children, it fosters remarkable learning and retention abilities. As it also involves new thoughts process, it gives way to creativity too. In real life situations we waver between creative thinking and critical analysis when we explore solutions to our problems. In such situations it helps us split complex problems enabling us to solve them step by stop. Co critical thinking skills are essential for all effective panning, problem-solving and decision making process.
Importance of drinking water
Drinking plenty of pure water. Drink six to eight glasses of water daily between meals. Do not neglect this important habit. Drink a glass of water the first thing on rising and the last thing before retiring. Pure water cleans and renews the system. It is one of the best and most available means for keeping the body pure healthy. Always drink slowly. Appreciate the value of pure water, and enjoy it as you drink it.

What is Teleconferencing?
Now days, we hear a lot about Teleconferencing. Teleconferencing is a system of holding conferences by television. It enables people to hold simultaneous face-to –face-public conferences with people in several cities. People who need to get together for discussions need no longer to travel to the same place to hold a conference. They can now communicate with each other by a form of television sent over telephone lines or via satellites. The system is not like television in the home. The people can see each other on a large screen in their own rooms and talk easily to anyone taking part. Computers handle the transmission of the sound and pictures, using a very clever system. A computer at each end holds the picture in its memory. But after initially transmitting the whole picture, the sending computer only transmits the part that moves. The receiving computers mix the still and moving parts so that a complete picture is always shown on the screen.
Hindustani classical music
Rasa and rang do play a significant role in Hindustani classical music. But, its spiritual life force or prana has much deeper roots.
Anhad naad, the unstruck sound or naad has been mentioned by saints like Kabir and Mira, as the music heard within the depths of one's being. Anhad naad is a divine melody, a celestial music which is transcendent, beyond the senses and intellect.
It can neither be sung nor heard. It can be contacted by the soul alone. Anhad naad and soul are in essence the same as God. There is therefore a natural spiritual magnetic attraction between them. So when a listener's soul is turned towards the anhad naad within it is drawn like a needle to a magnet.
In the realm of Nirakar, the Unmanifest Supreme God, like every thing else in Creation, music too is in its potentiality only. But this potentiality is the thing that eventually takes form ‘ aakaar’ as music in our physical world when sung or played.
The pleasure or satisfaction experienced by the listener as rasa and rang is due to the union of the manifest music with the unmanifest anhad naad deep within the listener.
The relationship between the listener's soul and anhad naad within her being is like that between the struck baaj ke taar strings of a sitar and its unstruck sympathetic strings or tarben which resonate only by the vibrations caused by the struck strings.
The musicality of the sound produced by the struck strings is hollow and incomplete without the complementary sound lent by the sympathetic unstruck strings. That is why sitar maestros give so much time and attention to the fine-tuning of the tarben.
The same applies to the listener of Hindustani classical music. The more finely attuned are her soul and the inner celestial melody, the deeper and more fulfilling will be the music heard by her. This is why everybody does not appreciate or enjoy music to the same extent or intensity. The fine-tuning of body and soul differs from person to person.
Every lover of classical Hindustani music may not be aware of the anhad naad within, like an accomplished saint, but anhad is very much there as an integral part of the Supreme Akhand and Anant or Oneness of the unmanifest or Nirakar and the manifest or Sakar.
Omkaar is the point of union between the unmanifest and the manifest. Omkaar emanates from the hridayakash or heart space of Brahmn. And from His divine game emanates the seven swaras i.e. nishad, rishabh, gandhar, sadaj, madhyam, dhaiwat and pancham. Brahmn is ‘ Shabdabrahmaswaroop ’. He is manifest when audible (Omkaar or Om+aakaar) and unmanifest when dormant and formless as "OM" in Brahmn.
Only a true and perfect maestro can join the disciples' soul with the anhad naad within. We cannot achieve this by reading books or listening to the recordings of past maestros. Anhad naad is a transcendent entity and therefore cannot be conveyed or given to others indirectly. Reciprocity is a must. Only a living person can open the current of the divine melody within us. If his own soul has awakened to this anhad naad, he can awaken other souls too.
Our own zeal and practice do matter, but these too are part of the guru's grace only. The guru, performing artist's soul, the listener's soul, God and anhad naad, are one and the same. Little wonder then that Pandit Amarnath finds bhakti bhav the essential underlying rasa in Hindustani classical music. But bhakti bhav is the outcome of the spiritual roots of Hindustani music. It is not the other way round.
