Endurance
Pavlov, the famous
Russian psychologist gave the following message to his students on his death
bed; “passion and gradualness! Passion means ardent desire. Gradualness implies
patience to be displayed in step by step progress. We can interpret the words
of Pavlov in another way too. To achieve high efficiently and success in any
field or subject, we need an ardent interest and the patience to proceed slowly
and steadily in the task. Yes, patience is the threshold to the door of love
for any task. 
Though there is enormous
potential within us, we cannot participate in a running race unless we are
ready for it. We have to proceed or rise from where we stand. We have to assess
our present strength, know how and to what extent we can increase it. Suppose we
try to imitate others. Without knowing the limits of our own strength and rush
forward, we may trip and fall . sometimes the man who has tripped and fallen
and may blame the unevenness of the ground. They are people who try to justify
their own mistakes and invite further trouble for themselves. They may develop
bitterness about those who have gone ahead. This is the result of lack of
patience or endurance. A man who is going forward who should imbibe its quality
of endurance. So we must patiently wait for the sapling we have transplanted to
bear fruit.
We have to wait patiently
till it grows into a tree and bears fruit. The highest level of achievement in
any field is possible only by means of honest effort. This is a natural law. No
amount of cheating can turn out great work. We should develop the conviction that
only by good work. We should develop the conviction that only by good action we
can achieve success. To do good deeds without being unduly perturbed about the
fruits of our actions, we should exercise patience. It is the Lord’s message in
the Gita: “He who does work with good intention will never suffer in life”. The
confidence expressed in these words should inspire us to go steadily on the path of truth,
without being discouraged by obstruction and obstacles . There is a witty statement
in English: Short cuts will cut you short”. It means that if you try to seek a
short cut to success it will only hamper your proper growth. So tread the path

I drive joy There was a
doctor in Benaras who spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation
on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they
argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been
misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I
agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you
are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a
lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive 4m.
