so that we may live long to enjoy the bright Sun.

there is ambrosia in waters, There is balm in them. And there are medicinal herbs,
Know this all.

I seek
the Lord of the waters of golden appearance. May He hear our entreaty and grant
us a place of ablution. Whatever food I
have taken in the house of the wicked. Whatever
gift I have received at the hands of the craftily, Whatever sin of
thought or word or deed I have committed. From this may Indra, Varuna,
Brahspati and Surya cleanse again and again.
I have
eaten and drunk to excess, or consorted
with people of violent ways , May Varuna wipe it all away. Thus rid of impurity
and evil and free from my sin. May I find liberation and pass to the world of The
Lord of Creation –Taittriya Araynaka
We are
made richer and more beautiful by the reflection of our thoughts and actions.
The invariable
mark of wisdom is to see the miraculous in the common.
The
happiness of your life depends upon the quality
of your thoughts and deeds.
The soul
of one who loves God always swims in joy and always is in a mood for singing.
Quote
from the True Charm and Power of Vedanta
Every
tune of the music of the Gita, whether it concerns man’s secular life or
spiritual life, a suffused with the message of strength and fearlessness.
Whether in worldly life or in spiritual life. Vedanta exhorts man to manifest
strength. The Gita and other Vedanta books club raga, bhaya, and krodha
attachment, fear, and anger, as inhibitors or moral and spiritual growth, and
exhort man to forsake them. Weakness is no virtue anywhere, fear is no virtue
anywhere, according to Vedanta . The first virtue to be cultivated by anyone,
says the Gita, is abhyam fearlessness. The Upanishads describe Brhaman, the
Ultimate Reality, or God, as bahayam –fear-lessness, and they describe anyone
who attains Brhaman, as having attained the state of fearlessness; abyam vai
prapta si,
The
Lord, the infinite source of all truth, beauty and goodness, means to tell
everyone through Arjuna: In the hearts of all beings , behind that ego of
theirs. I am always because I want their egos to be developed first But I stand
behind, watching, and I know that, when any devotee becomes strong by
exercising his or her ego and its powers, at a particular point of his or her
spiritual development, he or she will certainly turn to Me, and find in Me
their highness and best. Then will come self-surrender, naturally and
spontaneously. So, in that verse, Sri Krsna says, Isvaah (the Lord) is in the
hearts of all beings’ he knows everything which all beings are doing; all being
may not know this truth about Him but He knows it. In the last verse of the
fifth chapter of the Gita He had said;
‘Knowing
Me as the enjoyer of all sacrifices and austerities (done by beings) as the
grate Lord of all the worlds, and (most intimately) as the friend of all being
(man) attain peace. Courtesy divine Grace
I don
not deny the philosophy calls for precision. You must go to the living reality,
but what about the state of mind you
take with you ? you may go there with a mind tat is very diffuse, very
uncertain Knowledge calls for certainty; it cannot permit any kind of vagueness
or confusion of mind, for that is the equivalent of ignorance multiplied many
times. I believe that reality can be approached an reflected in the mind in its
entire beauty , its entire spontaneity. Spontaneity is not the same things as
vagueness; it is possible to have spontaneity, the living quality , and to have
great clarity as well. But I admit that to achieve this requires a special
discipline.
“There
is another way; earnestly praying to God . God is our very own. We should say
to Him: ‘O god, what is Thy nature? Reveal Thyself to me . Thou must show
Thyself to me; for why else hast Thou created me? “Some Sikh devotees once said
to me. God is full of compassion I said; ‘But why should we call Him
compassionate? He is our Creator. What is there to be wondered at if He is kind
to us? Parents bring up their children. Do you call that an act of kindness?
They must act that way. Therefore we should force our demand on God.
But, if He exists?
I drive joy There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 7
minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his
colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting
ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The
doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten
minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire
lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you
grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive 4m.
