Ways to Live
Longer and Stay younger.
Exercise
your mind. Like your muscles , your brain wastes away due to disuse. Weakness
is six time greater in old persons who withdraw from society and from life.
Watch your
eyes; old age usually affects eyesight and hearing. But in poor countries
curable eye and ear infections can cause much greater disability. the answer is
a health system offering effective diagnosis and treatment.
Live well. A
clean ,warm home, safe water and a good food all reduce exposure to infections
diseases.
Eat
properly, faulty nutrition and underfeeding cause half a billion deaths
annually . but over weight helps kill 50% of people in industrial countries by
putting pressure on heart and joints. Causing heart disease, strokes and
arthritis.
Stay happy ,
stress increases blood pressure. Depression makes yo disinterested in any thing. Both contribute
to heart disease. Lonely old people have a 50% higher death rate then married couples.
Stop smoking
. every cigarette you smoke shortens your life by 5 . ½ minutes.
Keep moving.
Too much rest can kill you by making your blood circulation slow moving and
your muscles weak. Just one hour of exercise can make a 70 year-old as fit as
person of 40 years of age.
Get involved
in some useful and satisfying work to you and to the society in general. (courtesy world assembly on aging)

Seven
C’s for Success
1. Clarity-Eighty percent of success comes from
being clear on who you are, what you believe in and what you want.
2. Competence.- You cannot climb to the next rung
on the ladder until you are excellent at what you do now.
3.Constaints –Eighthly percent of all obstacles to
success come from within. Find out what is constraining in you or you company and deal with it.
4. Concentration-The ability to focus on one thing
single-mindedly and see it through until it is done takes more concentration
than anything else.
5. Creativity –Flood your life with ideas from
many sources. Creativity needs to be exercised like a muscle if you don’t use
it. you will lose it.
6. Courage- Most in demand and least in supply is
the courage and willingness to do the things you know are right.
7. Continuous Learning –Read at least, on book a
week on your business to keep you miles ahead of the competition. Just as you
eat and bathe, organize your time so as to spend 30 minutes a day exploring
e-mail, sending messages, going through web sties, because like exercise, it is
the only way you can keep on top of technology. If you get away from it , you will
lose your edge.
