"The Path to Inner Peace: The Importance of Conscientious Performance of
Duty in Yoga"
Conscientious performance of duty is a crucial instruction for the seeker on their spiritual journey. It is important for the seeker to fully commit to their duties and responsibilities in life in order to channel their energy in a socially beneficial way. The seeker must take one step at a time and not shirk their responsibilities, as there is no shortcut in the process of expanding consciousness. The seeker must continue with the work at hand until higher duty calls and only then will they find true freedom and purpose.
Commitment to duty not only helps to make group life smooth and rewarding, but it also helps the seeker to control and eventually outgrow their impulses, obsessions, and prejudices. It brings inner relief and satisfaction to the seeker. Just as one must be cautious, courteous, and cooperative while driving in rush hour traffic, the seeker must coordinate their life and activities with others in order to build a healthy ego, which is essential for the practice of Yoga.
The ultimate goal of Yoga is to ripen the ego and gradually shift from being ego-centered to God-centered. As the seeker expands their consciousness, they will find that "I" becomes "we" and ultimately "all". This expansion brings peace and freedom. A student once wrote to their teacher asking for advice on acquiring peace of mind. The wise teacher replied, "Do you know how many times you have used the word 'I' in your letter? 48 times! How can you have peace of mind? Swamiji says unselfishness is God."
In conclusion, conscientious performance of duty is essential for the seeker on their spiritual journey. It helps the seeker to channel their energy in a socially beneficial way, control their impulses and obsessions, and ultimately find peace and freedom. The ultimate goal of Yoga is to ripen the ego and shift from being ego-centered to God-centered, which brings peace and freedom. To achieve this, the seeker must be unselfish and put the needs of others before their own.
"Finding Inner Peace: A Guide to Understanding the Power of Meditation"
Everyone wants to live in peace, but many people struggle to find it due to a lack of knowledge and inner powers. True peace is often a distant dream for many.
According to my spiritual guide, Prajapita Brahma, peace is not an end to achieve, but a means to be adopted for success and progress in life. It is innate in the soul and is the natural nature of the soul. By sticking to this natural state of peace, everything will fall into place.
When we say "Om Shanti", we should remind ourselves that we are peaceful and peace-loving souls. This will enable us to see others as divine and peaceful beings, which will help to create and spread vibrations of peace, love, and non-violence in the world.
Prajapita Brahma's teachings on spiritual knowledge, sattvic lifestyle, and meditational methods are simple and practical, making them easy for anyone to follow.
To prevent tension and stress, which are the breeding grounds of anger, fear, ego, lust, and attachment, we should pay attention and practice Rajyog meditation. This is the way to wipe out inner evils and weaknesses born out of body consciousness and a materialistic mindset.
The sacred fire of meditation on God sublimates human vices and mental impurities, enabling the meditator to experience deep inner peace, poise, love, and bliss. Rajyog meditation can be practiced by anyone, anywhere, and at any time, and is suitable for householders to find peace and contentment within.
The solution to problems and the key to conflict resolution lies in
regular practice and promotion of soul consciousness and meditation on the
Supreme Being. This can foster individual and universal peace, harmony, and
brotherhood, and make the ideals of world brotherhood and family hood a
reality.
IF HE EXIST
I drive joy there was a doctor in
Benaras who spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God.
Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued
that he was wasting 7 precious minutes on something, which he had been misled
into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that
I am wasting 7 minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting
your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste 7 minutes rather than a lifetime. Why
should you grudge me the 7minutes joy that I derive 4m.-
