Make Yourself Happy
It is striking how important energy is to happiness.
Unfortunately, when you’re feeling blue, it can be hard to muster the physical
and mental energy needed to do the things that will make you happier.
Sometimes, oddly, we feel too tired to go to bed. We cant face the effort of brushing
our teeth, washing face, and all the rest. Once we identify the energy dips in
our daily routine, we will be able to identify strategies to keep our energy
higher. For long-term energy, it is most important to get enough sleep and get
some exercise. We have to “burn energy to create energy” You can do it by running up the stairs, singing out loud,
doing a whirlwind tidy-up of your house etc. Counter intuitively these
exertions don’t further drain you. Instead they furnish a much needed surge in
energy. This give us a shot of energy and cheer. And if you need some energy

Research suggests that light stimulates brain
chemicals that improve mood. For an extra boost, get your Sunlight first thing
in the morning.
A brisk walk for about 30 minutes is enough to
increase energy and decrease tension.
Act with energy. We think we act because of
the way we feel, but often we feel because of the way we act. Trick yourself
into “feeling” energetic by moving around more fast, pacing while you talk on the
phone and putting more energy into your voice.
Good music gives an instant lift and is one of
the fastest most reliable ways to affect your mood and energy levels.
A talk to an energetic friend certainly helps
you. Not only do your gain energy from interactive with other people but you
also –in what is called emotional contagion-“catch” their emotions
Unfinished tasks weigh you down. Sometime, we
skip an important task for a later date or time .Force yourself to tackle one
thing that is nagging you. Once you finish if off. You will feel a huge rush of
energy.
Tidy surroundings make a huge difference. if
your house or room is cluttered clean it up. Besides it, have some fun time
which involves your friends or people of your choice; take a step towards
acquiring a new skill towards acquiring a new skill you like to have sign up to
volunteer for or try to participate in an organisation that furthers a cause
you value; reach out to a family member you’ve been neglecting ; make something
right: apologise confess repair, replace –or return something you borrowed; be
helpful to an elderly person or a person who has small children . Remember what
