Dream Come True
If you desire to move forward in life, you
should not at anytime complain about the obstacles. To complain of difficulties
is to betray weakness and lack of faith . every obstacle is a golden
opportunity for further progress. Those who transfer obstacles into
opportunities are true leaders. They make dreams come true.
Humour in English
Well son” , asked the father, “How is your
performance at school?”
“Underwater”, said the kid.
“And what do you mean by that?”
“Well, it is below C level”
A teenage girl called on her grandmother, a woman who clung to formal and absolutely
pure English, and she chattered happily to he old lady,
“Child, said the grandmother, “ I am not
fond of correcting you but really you must change your vocabulary. There are
two words you use continually. One is “Swell” and the other is lousy”
Oh, Grandma” said the debutante. “Please
tell me; which are these two words?”i fail to see the principal value of all
the emphasis on grammar”, protested the student to the teacher.
“Well” said the teacher, “ it can be very
important on occasion. For example my neighbour and his son were putting a post
in a hole; the father told the son, ‘when i nod my head, you hit it with
hammer. And that is precisely what the son did-bashed in the father’s head with
the hammer”
Shortly after the opening of school and English
teacher requested each student to write 1000 word story on How i spent my
summer vacation.
One of the accounts submitted by a student
ran somewhat like this. Shortly after school closed in mid April, i left for my
uncle’s place. My uncle has a motorboat, i spent most of my time on the lake in
the motorboat and whenever i was in the boat its motor went putt-putt______
from this point to the end of the 1000 words, the daring and imaginative young author
continued with his description of the sound of the boats’ motor____”put-putt-putt-putt”
Several days after all the student paper’s
were turned in he teacher said to the class. “ I have gone over all the vacation
accounts and some of them are quite good but there s one that i believe it
should be read by its author Sri Charan, will you please step up to the front
of the class and read aloud your account of your visit to your uncles’ home and
y our experience on the lake____and i want you to read every word of it”
Eco –Indicator plants
Plants have existed on planet for 430
millions of years. According to the taxonomists there are 350000 to 4000000 species
growing in different habitants on the earth’s surface Plants responses to some specific conditions indicter
many things about their habitat and surroundings . so they serve as indicators
helping to guess, measure or index the prevailing environmental conditions. Their
presence absence , or specific , appearance and growth patter stand for many ecological
estimations. For instance, the dominant species of a locally become an important
eco-indicators as they receive the full impact of that habitat
In ancient times explorers and prospectors
used plants as indicators for various purposes . however, in modern times, many
highly sophisticated instruments, such as super computers, and remote-sensing –satellites
have been developed in spite fo all these, plants are still relevant for preliminary
survey to gather information, what is required of man si skilled mind with keen
observation ability to study, detect, assess and make use the plants as eco –indicators.
Quote from the True charm and power of
Vedanta
‘No one can be Perfectly free till all are
free
It is difficult to conceive a world where
all the equal , yet equality has been man’s dream from the beginning of
history. But what is equality? Does it be the same? Is that possible , or
desirable? If we are machine-made, we may be alike, but we are not
machine-made, we may be alike, but we are not machine-made.in fact , no two
human are alike, physically or otherwise.
Each individual is unique. The question of equality between one individual and another
does not arise.
What is meant by equality then? Obviously equality,
means equality in terms of rights and privileges. All individuals and all
nations should be treated alike. Thee should be no discrimination on grounds
of religion, race, or colour. As we
found in sports. But some nations have also suffered and are still suffering
because they are weak. The stronger nations exploits them but they get away
with it just because there is no one to check them ultimately, the saying ‘Might
is right’ prevails. The kind of equality which we foresee is still far cry
But there can be no peace in the world
unless there is equality . the week are still afraid of the strong. They are
not free they are mere pawns in the hands of the strong. Every where, in every
society, the minorities feel insecure. They are deprived but they are not
always able to voice their grievance. They suffer silently there are international forums supposed to
serve as guardians of peace. But do or can they maintain peace with justice? Doubtful.
How impartial they are is questionable. The forums are useless if they do not
functions as the conscience of the entire human .race. courtesy Vedanta in practice
