Earning Trust of Others
May, Mitra, the deity who identifies himself with and is the self of the function of exhaling and of day, become sam, blissful, nah , to us, Similarly , too, Varuna is the deity who identifies himself with and is the self of the function of in haling and of night. Aryaman identifies himself with the eye and the sun, Indra with strength, and Brhaspati with speech and intellect Visnu is urukarmah, possessed of great stories and identifies himself with the feet. These are the deities in the context of the body. The expression sam nah bhavatu , may he be blissful to us, is t be connected with all since the comprehension, retention, and communication of the knowledge of Brahman can proceed without hindrance when the gods are benevolent, their benignity is being prayed for by saying sam nah havatue etc. Salutation and eulogy are offered t Vaye(air) by one craving for the knowledge or Brhaman , so that the hindrenace to the knowledge of Brhaman, may he averted. Since the fruits fo all actions are in his keeping , Vayu is Brhaman; brhamane, to that Brhaman, samah, (humble) salutation, the expression, I offer’ has to be added to complete the sentence. Namah, salutation, ie to you , vaua O vaue ie I salute you. Thus Vayu (Air, life) himself is referred to both mediately and immediately. Besides

Worship of Trees

Who created chaos?
A physician, an architect and a politician exchanged words endlessly to prove shoe profession was the oldest. The shrewd politician suggested that each of them should cite proof to establish his claim.
The physician said; “Eve was created out of Adams’s rib. It was a case of surgical operation, Hence my profession is the oldest.”
The architect told. “Before the surgical operation, there was chaos, order was created out of chaos. And that was the task of an architect. Hence, my profession was the oldest. “
The politician quipped; Who created chaos? It was definitely the job of a politician. “
No misery for him
“Everyone remember God during misery, but forgets Him when there is prosperity. If one were to remember God during prosperity, there would be no misery for him”
Worship of Trees
Worship of Nature has been great phenomenon of Hindu religion from ancient times. Among the objects of Nature worshipped trees are the foremost Nature has given the Hindus a umber of trees considered sacred or holy. They are the largest of all living things and one of the oldest on earth.
In foreign countries also, trees are held in high esteem e.g in America, thee is the ‘cow-tree’. Its sap is used as milk. In ancient India, trees gave the rishis peace, beauty, happiness and seclusion. So they liked to stay in forests
Without trees our world would not be fit place for human beings, animals etc, to live in . Many diseases will continued by exist. For the medical profession would not be able to get quinine and strychnine. Our wild life would not find shelter anywhere.
The Hindus worship trees as deities to show their thankfulness to God. In Hindu familles the banyan tree is worshipped due to emotional attachment for it. The bark and juice of the banyan tree are used nature cure.
The large Indian fig tree is worshipped mostly by women. The women pray for eternal martial bliss. i.e. for the long life of their husbands The Hindus consider the fig tree as the emblem of Lord Shiva whose hair is matted just like its tangled roots. The twigs of the tree are uses in sacrificial fires. The milky juice possesses medicinal value.
The peepul tree is worshiped in tow3ns and villagers alike, our old ladies are especially regular in waring the roots of the peepul tree. Some people tie a thread around a peepul tree.
Without performing proper religious ceremonies, trees should not be cut down in villages, quarrels arise if a tree is felled without the consent of the people.

Quote from the True Charm and Power of Vedanta
Karma, Knowledge, and Liberation
Here, for the sake of distinguishing between knowledge and karma (i.e. scriptural rites and duties) we enter into a consideration of the question as to whether the supreme goal (emancipation) results from karmas alone, or from karmas, added by knowledge, or from karmas and knowledge in combination, or from knowledge aided by karmas, or from knowledge alone.
First opponent. As to that, the supreme goal must be the result of Karmas alone , since a man who is versed in the full import of the Vedas is competent for karmas, in accordance with the Smriti. The Vedas, together with their secret , are to the mastered by the twice-born. And the mastery must be along with the purport of the Upanishads, which consists in the knowledge of the edge performs a sacrifice, The knowing man gets the sacrifice performed, it shown everywhere that a man of knowledge alone has competence for karma And there is the further text, After knowing, follows the practice Some people verily consider that the Vedas. as a whole, are meant for karma. Now, if the supreme goal be unattainable through karma, the Vedas will become useless
Answer, No, for freedom is a permanent entity. That freedom is eternal is surely an admitted fact. It is a matter of common experience that anything that is produced by action is impermanent. Should liberation be a result of action? It will be transitory; and this is undesirable, since it contradicts the logically justifiable Vedic text. ‘As in this world the result acquired through action gets exhausted, in the very same way the result acquired through virtue gets exhausted in the other world.
IF HE EXIST
I drive joy There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting seven precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting seven minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste seven minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 7minutes joy that I derive 4m.

Think not you are weak
Monday, 8th DECMBER 2014
Think not you are weakOur minds have infinite power Now, how to understand this and put it into use? First of all, we have to understand that we are no weak we are strong and we can be great. Never talk about weakness. If you think that you are weak, weak you will become. What you think you are!
There is a nice story told by a saint to illustrate this. Once upon a time there lived a ferocious lioness in a dense forest. She was pregnant. One day, she was going I search of a prey. Just on the outskirts of the forest, a shepherd boy was grazing his flock of sheep. The lioness at once jumped on the flock for a prey. Alas ! The fall was too much for her. She gave birth to a cub and died.
The shepherded boy was observing this scene from a distance He was attracted to the helpless but beautiful lion cub. He took it home and started rearing the baby lion along with his sheep. His flock of sheep was affectionate towards the lion cub. The cub grew with them jumping and playing happily. Like the sheep, the cub bleated and ate grass. In course of time it grew into a huge lion but thought itself to be a sheep
One day another lion came in search of prey and was astonished to find a lion amidst sheep. It went near the sheep lion. But the sheep-lion got frightened and ran bleating like a sheep. The lion tried to get near the sheep-lion to tell him that he was not a sheep but a lion. But to no avail. The lion now patently waited for an opportunity to catch the sheep-lion
The sheep-lion replied timidly. No, no I am a sheep, and started bleating in fear.
The lion dragged him towards the lake and said, Look here, see my reflection and yours’. The sheep –lion was surprised to see both the reflection look alike. The lion brought a piece of meat and thrust it into the mouth of the sheep-lion. The sheep-lion hesitated for a moment, but soon found it tasty. It relished the meat and cried loudly. And lo! The bleating was gone and its roar reverberated through the forest. The sheep –lion understood that it was not a sheep but a lion.
Similarly, my dear children, you are lions but you think you are sheep. You are pure. Infinite and perfect. But you , have to feel it. There is infinite power within each of you do not weep but say that y ou can achieve anything and you will achieve. So, stand up, be bold, be strong. Take the whole responsibility on your shoulders and know that you are the creator of your own destiny. All the strength and succour you want is within you therefore make your own future.
This is the first step to discovering the power of your mind.

Quote from the True charm and power of Vedanta
Do not let worldly thoughts and anxieties disturb your mind.
The more is a man’s attachment to the world, the less is the likely to attain knowledge. The less his attachment to the world, the more is the probability of his gaining knowledge.
Water is dried up at once if poured on a heap of ashes. Vanity is the like this heap of ashes. Prayer and contemplation produce no effect the heart puffed up with vanity.
Visit not miracle mongers and those who exhibit occult powers. Threes men are stragglers from the path of Truth
If there is a small hole at the bottom of a jar of water , the whole water will leak out. Similarly if here is the smallest tinge of worldliness in the aspirant, all his excretions will come to naught.

Education and Stress

Education and Stress
Child’s education, scores and ranks have become a hot topic at tall
social gatherings. Whether it is a single or double income family, ever parents
is racing and forcing the child to race and meet the goals set by
school/college social standards, institutions of higher education, peer competition etc.
whether the child has the adequate compatibility is given a back seat.
Ultimately, it is the child, on whom the entire load is put. So naturally a
child is stressed, depressed sometimes and slowly becomes indifferent. Morning
study hours, monitored either by parents or tutors, school hours, evening
special or extra tutor hours, night completion of homework, and revision of
day’s I am indeed, pancaked. The child has no time to play and relax. He/she
has become a machine. Most of the time tuitions absorb the free hours of the child.
Has the modern education system led to an increasing dependence on coaching intuitions?
It seems to be so.
Many parents send their children to coaching classes our tuitions even
at a very early age. Right from the time of primary schooling these kids start
going to tuitions. This is where exactly a parent (if the parent is a high
school graduate)can easily manage to give extra drill or reinforcement to the
Child at home itself Probably, a little extra effort is needed on the parent’s
part. The child can learn, sitting in the lap of its mother or father. Why
should the child be denied of this privilege?
When the child passes into higher classes, certainly, it is beyond a
moderately educated parent they cannot coach subjects like Maths, English, and
Science So they send their children for tuitions to different places subject
wise. After school hours also children are over burdened and they are robbed of
their rest and entertainment. why do they need these extra hours of study? Our
children must get 90% and above in spite o fit, they don’t get admissions an
jobs . The result is depression, stress and suicide. So kids have to maximize
their output, even to qualify themselves to be part of the rat race. A child
become a factory as the selection criteria is dependent on various inputs like
time, money , food (energy) , comforts (rest), entertainment ) etc.
Thinkers like Rabindranath Tagore believed that nothing should be forced
on a child. A child should grow naturally. But education is becoming very
formal.-pen, paper, book, and guide, help book, sample papers, and add
computers ,CDs, internet also this list.
How to help the children. Parents Educationists and policy makers have
to come together. Of course, the students too. Students can avoid the extra
study hours n the name of tuitions by listening well in the classes, by being
focused on difficult areas and seeking doubt clarification with concern
subjects teachers. Teachers never deny this extra time a child seeks to learn
properly. Even school an arrange remedial teaching classes for weak learners,
and specially programmed study hours in the school premises itself (after
school hours) for the above average learns . of course, the extra coaching
hours and efforts of the teacher have to be rewarded befittingly. If school
authorities, teachers, parents and students work hand –in=hand, there wont be
any question of stress-for students, teachers (Who look for extremely good
result) parents and of course, the school/college authorities, the ranking of
which goes up easily.
Every job is self portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.
Always tell yourself ; The difference between running a business and running a business is “I”
Quote from the True Charm and power of Vedanta
On Freedom
and Self-Reliance.
The man who
wants money is striving for freedom- to get rid of the bondage of poverty.
Every action of man is worship, because the idea is to attain to freedom, and
all action, directly or indirectly tends to that.
One may gain
political and social independence, but if one is slave to his passions and
desires, one cannot feel pure joy of real freedom.
It is not
that when a man become free, he will stop and become a dead lump; but he will
be more active than any other being, because every other being acts only under
compulsion, he alone though freedom.
…freedom is
the goal…it is freedom alone that is desirable. That is what men struggle
after.
Unity is
knowledge diversity is ignorance . This knowledge is y our birthright…There
never were different religion in the world. We are all destined to have
salvation, whether we will it or not. You have to attain it in the long run and
become free, because it is y our nature to be free.
No one was
ever really taught by another each of us has to teach himself. The external
teacher offers only the suggestion which rouses the internal teacher to work to
understand things.
The eyes of
the whole world are now turned towards this land of India for spiritual food;
and India has to provide it for all the races. Here alone is the best ideal for
mankind; and Western scholars are now striving to understand this ideal which
is enshrined in our Sanskrit literature and philosophy and which has been the
characteristic of India all through the ages.
…The land
where humanity has attained its highest towards gentleness, towards generosity,
towards purity towards calmness, above all, the land of introspection and of
spirituality-it is India.
When the
life-blood is strong and pure, no diseases germ can live in that body our
life-blood is spirituality. It is flows clear, if it flows strong and pure and
vigorous everything is right; political , social, any other material defects ,
even the poverty of the land, will all be cured if that blood is pure.
Political
greatness or military power is never the mission of our race, it never was.,
and mark my words, it never will be, But there has been the other mission given
to us, which is to conserve, to preserve, to accumulate… all spiritual energy
of the race…..
India must
conquer eth world , and nothing less than that is my ideal…We must conquer the
world or die there is no other alternative . the sign of life is expansion; we
must go out, expand, show life, or degrade fester, and die.
India will be
raised, not with the power of the flesh, but with the power of the spirit not
with the flag of destruction, but with the flag of peace and love….. Say not
that you are weak. The spirit is omnipotent.
……Every one
must be ready for it-the conquest of the whole world by India-nothing less that
that, and we must all get ready for it, strain every nerve for it….Up India,
and conquer the world with your spirituality! Ay, as has been declared on this
soil first, love must conquer hatred, hatred cannot conquer itself.
