How To Manage Time?

How To Manage Time?
Time is the scarcest resource, says Peter Drucker and unless it is managed, nothing else can be managed.
Time is money . In the words of Theophrastus, time is the most valuable thing a man can spend. Time never comes back. Time is irreversible.
A mahraja came to meet Mr. Madhusudan Das, a great national leader who is otherwise known as Bhrarat Gaurav(Pride of India). The appointment was at 4.p.m The majharaja in feudal style came in half an hour late Madusudan Das’s memorable words on the occasion were; “Mahraja, the clock also did not wait for you. How can I wait for you”.
The lost time does not return. Time and tide wait for none .Time is so important, that we must make mximum use of it. A day has 24 hours. Analyze time . How much time is spent on studies, sports and sleep?Write down how you spend time. It is an eye opener. You know where you stand. Do not attempt too much at once. Have a realistic time estimate .
Organize time . Think how time has been spent . Have specific goals and a time limit. The greatest thing in this world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are moving, says Oliver Wendell Holmes. If you do not know where you are going you may go anywhere.
A goal is achievable, if you have discipline, discipline is not merely
Do’s and Don’ts . It is a kind of order that appears to bind but in fact it sets people free to fly.
Discipline begets determination. Josh Billing says , Be like a postage stamp . Stick to something until you get there”. Great people are just ordinary people with an extraordinary amount of determination.
The secret of success is enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm, adds Coleridge. Enthusi9asm enabled Webster to spend 36 years in his dictionary. It enabled Thomas Edison to remove ten thousand defects before he invented the incandescent lamp. George Stephenson worked for fifteen long years to perfect his locomotive . Mark Twain , when asked the reasons for his success, exclaimed “I was born excited”. So , be excited, be enthusiastic, be time conscious . success is yours.
Learn to communicate . most of the controversies arise in life on account of misunderstanding Iacocca says, “you can have bright ides, but if you cannot get them across, your ideas won’t get you anywhere.”
Robert Frost says with a touch of hour “half the world is composed of people who have something to say and cannot and the other half who have nothing to say and keep on saying it”. Know what you speak and more importantly , how you speak.
Listen to people. You have got two ears but one mouth. You should hear twice of what you speak. David Schwartz says “Big people monopolize the listening Small people monopolized the talking. Winston Churchill used to listen a lot. We should never out off a suggestion with a dismissal. President Johnson kept a small signboard which read ‘you are learning nothing when you are doing all talking.
Andrew Caregle remarked, “it has been my experience that a man who cannot reach a decision promptly , once he has all the necessary facts of the decision at hand, cannot be depended upon to carry through any decision he may take. I have also found that men who reach decisions promptly usually have the capacity to move with definiteness of purpose in other circumstances. ‘. Making a decision-even bad decision is better that making no decision at all. You must make several decisions.
Which goals to choose? which ways to invest time?
What are the alternatives available to select from?
Decide fast, As Edmond c. Lynch said, “If I made a decision fast, I was right 60% of the time . If I made a decision carefully, I would be right 70%, but it was always worth it. “
Value your time. Wast netiehr time nor money but make the best use of it. Do not let others waste your time.
Power Without Justice is Tyranny
Justice without power is inefficient, power without justice is tyranny. Justice without power is opposed, be cause there are always wicked men . Power without justice is son questioned. Justice and power must there for be brought together , so that whatever is just may be powerful, and whatever is powerful may be just.
Work is doing what you now enjoy
Work si doing what you now enjoy for the sake of a future which you clearly see and desire. Drudgery is doing under strain what you don’t now enjoy and for no end that you can now appreciate.
JUMP: The last word is parachuting
What is Acid rain?
Acid rain is rain that contain dangerous pollutants. The pollutants are caused by nitrogen and sulphur let out into the atmosphere by large industrial plants using oil and coal. They are dissolved into the atmosphere. When it rains, the raindrops are full of sulphuric, nitric, and hydrochloric acids.
Quote from the Essence of The Gita
Everything in this world keeps changing. The law binds every material thing. Who keeps changing . this law binds every material thing. Who can say why and in which direction everything is moving? The evolutionists claim that a gradual progress is taking place. But they can’t say why it is taking place. From a seed evolve the tree, the flowers and the fruits Why? For what purpose? This question has always risen in the human mind in the past as well as in the present. But so far it has not been answered. The scholars in the West feel that the purpose of al this is to establish a well-organized and healthy society . in India the scriptures say that this mysterious, cosmic chain of creation, preservation and destruction is without beginning.
In God’s eyes this world is merely a purposeless play(Lila) . If we say that God wished to fulfill some purpose by creating the world, we would also attribute imperfection to Him. So the sages say that this creation is merely God’s sport. He remains unchanged even after creation. But from our point of view, if we try to understand why we struggle in this world, it appears that the purpose behind it is to snap the bonds of relative existence (samsara) and to attain Self-knowledge. The purpose is to attain perfection and to go beyond all misery and suffering . it may also be said that a society would be ideal in every respect were it composed of those who were masters of their senses, people who had attained Self-knowledge, such an ideal society would always have peace and bliss, as the inner deficiencies of all its members would have been totally eliminated.
I drive joy
There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 5 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive from? I am not robbing you of your joy; why should you rob me of mine. He asked. The critics were silenced. –Baba- Chinna Katha
