Be Cheerful!
We feel happy when we see people cheerful and joyful, Surprisingly, the role models to imitate to be cheerful are children. Unfortunately, as we grow, we tend to be more and more serous. If only one realizes the value of being cheerful, one would like to be so. Let us consider some salient aspects of being cheerful.
The age-old, saying ”Aanandho Brahma!”(to be happy is to be divine!)is very true! The Biblical saying. “A merry heart doeth good like medicine” is very scientific because laughing stimulates the production of the alertness hormone adrenaline which releases endorphins in the brain. These foster relaxation and even reduce pain. Research shows that cheerfulness increases longevity. The healing ability of laughter is too well known and is now recognized medically.
Many hospitals in the USA have employed laughing nurses whose duty is to visit the patients and induce them into laughter for a few minutes. This laughing therapy is found to help the patients recover fast.
A cheerful person is generally liked by all and therefore, he naturally becomes popular in any gathering. Not many know a smile takes us miles ahead in our inter-personal relationship. Perhaps the only thing that ensures 100% return with interest almost immediately is SMILE!
After all a smile requires only 4 muscles to be moved where a frowning involves 16 muscles. But still, many do not know how to be cheerful! Undoubtedly, one can alter his life by altering the attitude of his mind. Here are a few tips.
Stand in from of the mirror and smile with your eyes. It reduces your seriousness greatly.
To be ever smiling, value the other person.
Do what you like. If too late like what you do!
Accept the past, don’t brood over it.
Be optimistic with positive thinking
When you get up from bed say: ‘I shall be cheerful throughout the day today! Then often make auto suggestion to yourself as;” Only fool frown. To be cheerful is to be wonderful!”
Remember , our dress is never complete without an enchanting smile! Let us be cheerful, joyful and blissful to be wonderful!

We struggle with the complexities and avoid the simplicities.
There is no such thing as a ‘self-made ‘person . We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.
Live without pretending; Love without DEPNDING,
Listen without defending; Speak without offending
Give without ending.
Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give.
The fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly;
And the best way to keep love is to give it wings.
Quote from True Religion always Helps
This is not , however , to say that all the religions are identical. For instance, you may take pictures of the Himalayas from the side of India. Tibet or China. No one picture will be the same as the other. But all of them will surely be true picture of the Himalaya. By ‘true religion’ therefore , we mean the truth of every religion.
The term true religion may have two broad implications;
a) objectivity, true religion means those spiritual principles through the living of which one attains perfection, illumination, God-vision, or libertine. These spiritual principles are truthfulness, purity, self control, non-violence. Forbearance, detachment, equanimity, straightforwardness, dutifulness, other-regard, compassion, love of God, and longing for spiritual enlightenment.
b) Subjectively, true religion means not a some-time, but an all-time, religion in a person’s life . when religion courses through our blood, vibrates in our nerves, when it becomes the very breath of our life, religion has become truer for us.

I drive joy
There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 5 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive from? I am not robbing you of your joy; why should you rob me of mine. He asked. The critics were silenced. –Baba- Chinna Katha
