Quote from the True Charm and Power of Vedanta
Secret of right Activity, The Religion of work
Great souls: like Krishna, , Jesus, Buddha and
others divine Manifestations have proved this. Work for works sake was the main
principle in their character and in their life. They worked without seeking
personal gain or tangible immediate results. How few welcomed them when they
brought the message of Truth! How much antagonism they met! And yet they went
on steadily, because they did it all through love, without any ulterior motive.
If you are helping a person, do not expect that person to be grateful to you. Do
not always trade in your love. Nobody can be a true worker without disinterested
love in his heart. It is the oil which makes the machine of life run smoothly;
and unless we have genuine love, we suffer.
We know from our own experience that whenever
we love a person, no matter how tired we are, we like to do for him with our
own hands. we do not trust any substitute to serve that one whom we love most truly;
and our service makes us forget for the time being that we are tired. The physical
constitution is lrgly dependent on the mind and mind is dependent on the
thought force; hence when our thought is connected with some noble motive is
brings us refreshment . a nervous breakdown
does not come because of the work we do in life. If we have proper understanding,
we do not have to suffer from ay breakdown. It is the lack of an ideal the lack
of concentration which wears us out, and those who work thoughtfully gradually realize
this.
The healing touch

The healer is not really a healer because he is
not a doer. Healing happens through him. He has just to annihilate himself.
To be a healer really means not to be. The less
you are, the better healing will happen. The more you are, the more the passage
is blocked. God, the totality or whatsoever name you prefer, is the healer. The
whole is the healer.
So, if you really want to become a healer, you
have to accept your emptiness. When you empty yourself, from one side you go
out and from another side, godliness comes in. Everybody can become a healer.
Healing is something like breathing; it is natural. Somebody is ill; it meanshe
has lost his capacity to heal himself. He is no more aware of his own healing
source. The healer is to help him to be rejoined.
Once the energy starts flowing, he is healed.
Whenever there is a choice between acceptance and reasoning, always choose acceptance.
By and by, you will see that your reason also
starts helping you to accept it. Because when the reasoning comes to see that
you accept anything, that a yes or no makes no difference, then reason also
becomes sympathetic to your trust.
And when inside you, reason and trust meet,
your own conflict is transcended. This will be the first step for your
discipline to become a healer.

But, if He exists?
I drive joy There was a doctor in Benaras who
spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this,
his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was
wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into
believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am
wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your
entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why
should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive 4m.
