The
high way of Upliftment
Maxwell Maltz,a famous plastic
surgeon observed how his patients developed self-confidence and high spirits
after their physical deformities were rectified . Having benefited from his experiments
and observations, many students who had been dubbed as dunces rose and attained
high positions. Those who had been introverts began to socialise with
confidence and courage.
Many students entertain a false image.
Comparing themselves with other students who can grasp things more fast, they
consider themselves to be useless, without any ability to study well. They lose
their confidence when their teachers scold and ridicule them at the trifling errors
they commit in the beginning. “He cant study well, he is not intelligent”-such harsh
remarks of elders get embedded in their mind. It is not uncommon that a young man found by
his father to be dull in relation to the elder brother who is intelligent hurts
deeply . The young develop a negative attitude regarding their intelligent and
ability to study . Once a negative attitude becomes a part of youngster’s
personality they fail to achieve success. Nothing helps to instil confidence in
them. The naturally-bubbling optimism fades away. They develop the attitude “I wouldn’t
like to try and fail again and invite everybody’s ridicule. “
It would be possible to change
this attitude . we should guide them with patience and love ,without damaging
their sense of self-respect. The effort to revive them should commence from the
starting point. They should be induced at the beginning to solve simple
problems and they should be made to succeed in the effort. When they are even
moderately successful, we should reward them with words of praise and
encouragement. When they achieve repeated success, the sense of defeat and
diffidence long-settled in their minds is slowly erased. Their self-image is transformed
; self-confidence returns, truly they are transformed into nee beings.
The self –image is formed and
established by experience. It can be modified with the help of the other, more
positive experiences. To sum up , the various objectives of life are decided on
the basis of self-image, Our desires, our emotions our behaviour depend
entirely on the self-image. Courtesy wisdom
Hair Dryer
A hair dryer is a common
household appliance which produces hot air and helps in drying wet hair, The
hair dryer contains a halting element and a small , but high power motor with a
fan on it. On the rear of the hair dryer is an air intake grill. The fan housed
within the dryer sucks in air from this grill and throws it in the other
direction. On this side the air flows over a heated element which heats the
air. The heated air as it comes out of the dryer, helps in drying wet hair,
built into the handle of the hair dryer is a regulator which allows the user to
change the intensity or temperature of the air flowing out

Some world’s
Mystics on Divine Grace
The idea of
self-revelation of God is a recurring theme in the writing of several mystics
fo the East and the West, Sys John Ruysbroeck
‘God is the
depths of us receives God who comes to us; it is God contemplating God.”
Modern psychology
speaks of the knowledge derived from the pre-conscious states or the
non-logical type of knowledge as primary cognition, and that derived from the conscious
state, or the logical type of knowledge, as secondary cognition. To quote Silvano
arieti again
According to the present author ,
it is from an appropriate matching or secondary process mechanisms with those
of the primary process that the creative process emerges. The author proposes
the use of the expression tertiary process for this special combination
And after dealing
with the different forms of the appropriate matching of the primary process
with the secondary process to generate the creative process, and its
expressions in wit, humour, pun, parables and poetry, the author proceeds to
deal with its expression in science. Courtesy Divine

But, if He exists?
I drive joy
There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening
for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him.
One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something,
which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does
not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am
afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes
rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive
