World’s smallest Light Bulb
Scientist created the world’s
smallest light bulb fro a one atom-thick layer of grapheme, the miracle material
that promises to transform everything from smart phones ad computers to cars
buildings and satellites. The ultra thin grapheme was turned into a superheated
filament-just like the thin wire of an incandescent light bulb-which glowed at
a temperature of about 2500 C. The discovery could be used as the basis of a
new kind of switching device for future optical computers that use pulses of
light rather than electricity to process and transmit digital information far
faster than conventional silicon chips.
Owater-Based Computer
The very idea of a water based
computer seems weird but this is a really now. We are close to having a
non-electronic computer soon. India –origin scientist . Manu Prakash , along
with his team has developed world’s first water-based computer. The results
were published n the journal Nature Physics. Manu Prakash is an assistant
professor of Bioengineering oat Stanford university.
The team has built a synchronous computer
that operates using the unique physics of moving water droplets. The work
combines Prakash’s expertise in manipulating droplet fluid dynamics with a
fundamental element of computer scientist- an operating cloak.
Quote from
the True Charm & Power of Vedanta
What comes after death? All these
Vedanta philosophers admit that this Jiva is by its own nature pure. But ignorance
covers its real nature they say. As by evil deeds it has covered itself with
ignorance, so by good deeds it becomes conscious of its own nature again. Just as
it is eternal, so its nature is pure. The nature of every being is pure.
When through good deeds all its
sins and misdeeds have been washed away, then the jiva becomes pure again, and
when it become pure, it goes to what is called Devayana. Its organ of speech enters
the mind. You cannot think without words. Wherever there is thought, there must
be words. As words enter the mind, so the mind is resolved into the Prana, and
the Prana into the Jiva . Then the Jiva gets fast out of the body, and goes to
the solar regions. The universe has sphere after sphere. This earth is the
world sphere, in which are moons suns an stars, Beyond that here is the solar
sphere, and beyond that another which they call the lunar sphere , Beyond that
there is the sphere which they call the sphere of lightning, the electric
sphere, and when the Jiva goes there, there comes another Jiva, already perfect
to receive it, and takes it to another world, the highest heaven, called the
Brahmaloka, where the jiva lives eternally, no more to be born or to die . it
enjoys through eternity, and gets all sorts of powers, except the power of creation.
There is only one ruler of the universe and that is God. No one can become God
, the dualists maintain that if you say you are God it is a blasphemy . All
powers except the creative come to the Jiva , ad if it likes to have bodies and
work in different parts of the world ,
it can do so. If it orders all the gods to come before it, if it wants tis forefathers
to come, they all appears at its command. Such are its power that it never
feels any more pain and if it wants it can live in the Brahmaloka through all eternity.
This is the highest man, who has attained the love of God, who has become perfectly
unselfish, perfectly purified, who has given up all desires , and who des not
want to do anything except worship and love God
But, if He exists?
I drive joy
There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening
for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him.
One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something,
which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does
not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am
afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes
rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I
derive 4m.
