Acquire Professionalism

Acquire Professionalism
Every worker would like to reflect the image of dynamism and honesty. Integrity, and conscientiousness, diligence etc. these are the tenants of professionalism. If one likes to exude these, one has to build and image of professionalism.
What makes an image? People generally beeline a neat and spruce external appearance is what makes one’s image. On the contrary , it is not this external appearance alone that gives our the right image. In fact the values of truthfulness and diligence are what comprise a professional image it is a reflection of your professional convections, beliefs and behaviors
Image monument solely is dependent on the perception of others. It is as much about what you are seen to be, as who you are. It means that if you aren’t managing your own professional image, some one else does it for you, so people are constantly observing your behavior, forming theories about your competence character and commitment. In short , you become the author of your own identity..
So one must constantly be very of it and make a conscious effort to create the right impressions and a positive professional image. In short , it must be reiterated that it is not your external appearance but by a reflection of honest commitment to a value system such as time sense, co-operation, trustworthiness and credibility, diligence one can establish oneself as n assiduous worker of professionalism..
Always Be Positive
One of the favorite saying of Gurudev , which he wrote in his writing as well as quoted in his divine talks was, “ Never despair, Never despair Nil desparadum. A poet said, “Tell me not in mournful numbers-life is but an empty dream!” You have come here to strive and attain. Strive on, Do pursuhartha. Be strong be determined and plod on. If thus you do purushartha, you will get help from God. That is the one meaning of ‘Heart within and God overhead!’ Do exert on and then help will come from God.
There are two ways of approaching life. One is diffidence, lack of confidence, negativity;” I don’t think I can do it. It is too difficult” Another ways is :”I can I will try my best”. “I can’t is not rational. It is irrational. And if after trying you very best, you do not succeed in attaining the objective. I can assure you, you have not failed. Success may not be yours, but you have succeeded. You have fulfilled a human being’s duty.
God is all that is positive, all that is auspicious, good and beautiful. There is no negativity in God. And you are made in His image. You have potential for al that is positive and positive only. You should not believe your divine nature. At every step, in all things, your life should prove your divine nature. It behooves you to always take a positive attitude towards life, and never a negative approach, to always have positive view of things, and to move forward in your fairly life. Then your heart is in a state that the poet implied when he said. “Heart within and God overhead!”
It is for such a heart that we should pray to the Lord; “ I have full trust that You will be my leader that Your grace will be my guiding force and leading light in my life day by day. With your help, O Lord, all things are possible for me. So, with your help, there is nothing that I cannot do. And I will take Your help for granted, because you are grace. You are love and compassion. You are ever ready to bestow Your grace upon all sincere seeking sahakas. Being certain of this, I shall strive having full trust that You will help where help is needed”.
Hope is a divine quality Determination is divine quality. It is a manifestation of Shakti. Therefore, it is our duty to ourselves and to God to always keep our interior in a positive state. It is our duty to always take a positive approach towards life, and to always takes the positive approach , which is the right approach. This is the right attitude and this you must adapt. This will help you to succeed in your life-(Courtesy ; The Vision)
Why Do Heartbeats Make Noise?
It is impossible to put our ear to our chest to listen to our own heart beating. And not everybody has a stethoscope to listen to his neighbor’s . However films and documentaries have let us hear the very characteristic rhythmic beat, which modern composers have sometimes imitated in there music. It is the heat valves that produce the familiar doubles heart heat such known to doctors as ‘Lub” and ‘Dub’. The first sound which lasts for approximately 1/10th of a second, is dull and muffled; the second, which follows fairly closely, is shorter and sharper. These two sounds are followed by a relative silence (approximately half a second for a person at rest). Sometimes a third sound is heard, 1/10th of a second after the second sound.
Where do these sounds come from?
The first sound we hear, the one which says ’Lub’ is caused by the rapid closure of the valve between the auricles and the ventricles (auricular- ventricular valves)This second, father like a door closing is accompanied by a dull murmur, caused by the contraction of the ventricular muscles.
The second sound is cause by the closing of the arterial valves.
As for the third sound, this corresponds to the arrival of the blood being expelled forcefully from the auricles into the ventricles. The right ventricle is smaller than the left ventricle. On the right hand side, the blood is only pumped to the lungs; on the left hand side the effort is that much greater, as it has to be circulated around the whole body.
I drive joy
There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 5 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive from? I am not robbing you of your joy; why should you rob me of mine. He asked. Knowledge is power

Knowledge is Power
We are living in an age of speed and epoch-making inventions. New inventions from far and near are taking he masses forward. Today supersonic airplane conquer the speed of sound. Computers take over as central nervous system in business establishments, hospitals, libraries and educational institutions. Videophone provides instant visual communication with anyone anywhere .Satellites connects the home with a world network of information , education, and entertainment. Terms such as rockets, robots, atomic missiles, I.C.B.M. atomic reactor, Cobalt. Bomb,. International Monetary Fund, World Bank etc are talked about in many places. We should know what all these exactly mean. These require intelligent understanding. So we should make it a point to read newspapers, journals, and books to acquire accurate knowledge on such subjects as it contributes must to the maturity of our thoughts.
Knowledge is wealth, not plundered by relatives not carried off by thieves, not decreased by giving. It give us the necessary confidence in life. For success in life we should keep abreast of the time utilized our thoughts to keep in touch with the latest achievements of human efforts. The more extensive our knowledge of what has been done, the greater will be our power of knowing what to do. If we are conscious that we are ignorant is a great step to our knowledge.
It is highly desirable that we must choose books and journals on important subjects like science, technology, politics, economics and sociology, and make a serous study of them.
The grand object of reading is to become well informed. We come into the world ignorant of everything. The history, the experience of other men and other generations, can be ours only by thorough reading of useful books. The laws of mind and of matter do not change, and thus we can , in a short life, know as much and judge as accurately the use of books/ the laws of mind and of matter do not change, and thus we can, in a short life, now as much, and judge as accurately, by the use of books, as we could by living thousand of year! The desire of knowledge, like the thirst of riches, increases ever with the acquisition of it.
Our knowledge contributes much to the maturity of our thoughts. We become refined and are able to overcome anti social activities by dealing with them boldly and effectively. Knowledge endows us with serene calmness; unperturbed patience and absolute self control. It gives us the courage to resist temptations to indulge in improper behavior and illegal activities . our thoughts will never become base or mean. With the use of knowledge we areas sure to make useful contribution to human progress some day or other. We are also certain to raise ourselves to higher levels of thoughts and actins. We will also add to the progress and welfare of the nation.
Knowledge is power and great wealth . To know as many things as possible is to win. If we have knowledge , others will light their candle at it!
If knowledge can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them.
The only wealth is found in human hearts
If I have strength, I owe the service of the strong; if melody I have, I owe the world a song.
If heaven’s grace has endowed me with some rare gift, I can lift; if I can heal some wound no other’s hand can heal, to a wounded world my gift is healing.
For any gift God gives to me. I cannot pay; gifts are most mine when I give them away;
God’s gifts are like His flowers, which show their right to stay by giving all their bloom and fragrance away. Riches are not gold, nor land, estates. The only wealth there is , is found in human hearts.
Be industrious
Be studious in your profession, and you will be learned. Be industrious and frugal , and you will be rich .Be sober and temperate and you will be healthy.
Smart person and Wise person
The difference between a smart person and a wise one is that a smart person knows what to say , but a wise person knows whether to say it or not.
Hints to keep you young
Do not be on the look out for ill health. Keep useful at work. Have a hobby. Learn to be satisfied. Meet adversity courageously. Keep on liking people. Met the little problems of life with decision, Above all , maintain a good sense of humour, best done by saying something pleasant every time you get a chance. Live and make the present hour pleasant and cheerful. Keep your mind out of the past , and keep it out of the future.

How to Enoy Your Leisure
Monday 13-September- 2010
How to Enjoy Your Leisure
There are some people who are bored by leisure, It seems to them a waste of time.
While others work to live, they live to work and for work. The prospect of retirement fills them with fear and when it inescapable comes, they frequently crack up, simply because they have no idea how to use their leisure. There are others for whom leisure could become a real problem.
Do you get the fullest benefit from your leisure? Do you know how to use it properly?
There are certain simple principles whereby we can make much fuller and more profitable use of our leisure and thy are well worth mastering.
1. Have the firth idea about leisure;
It is important that our attitude towards leisure should be sensible and realistic. Work and leisure are part of the essential rhythm of life and we must accept that basic idea and then make provision for it.
For example some people seem to feel guilty about being found ‘off duty’. Of course, there are the professional work-dodgers whose policy is always to do as little as possible with the least effort to themselves.
But if we are to work effectively, we need leisure. Henry Ford is reputed to have laid that the Model ’A’ Ford would have been in production six months earlier if only he and insisted that his engineers had not worked on Sunday’s! This is simply an indication that working seven days a week made them less effective. A rest day would have restored them and increased their powers of concentration. They worked longer hours but less effectively.
So, let us recognize the apart which leisure has to play in a full life and to see what wrong it is to say that we have no time for rest , relaxation and leisure.
2.Plan to leisure;
Having recognized its importance, we must make definite and systematic provision for leisure. Some jobs make this more difficult than others. A doctor, for example, is liable to be called upon at any time . But this is no reason for not making provision for leisure indeed, a planning of a more careful provisions is all the more necessary.
Planning ahead for a particular occasion and kind of leisure has the effect of giving us some thing to look forward to and this can provide not only an enjoyable time when it arrives but gives that pleasurable anticipation which can have the effect of encouraging us and inspiring us in the midst of what may be other wise unpleasant and difficult tasks.
This is not necessarily to say that leisure time must always be at a precisely arrange time. Of course, for some occasions, it will need to be-theaters and cinemas do not arrange their programmes to suit our whims-but if our job allows it, it is a good thing sometimes to give ourselves an unscheduled break. Depending on circumstances, this may be to slip out for a cup of coffee or to have a half-day off.
3.Be active and creative.
The research why many people are bored with leisure time in that they equate it with idleness . Of course, there an be a place ever for this but it will be the rare occasion , the exception.
A morning in bed or even a cup of tea in bed, ma some times be the very luxury and relaxation we need. But generally speaking , leisure time Is not meant to be sent just moving round the house, unshaven and half-dressed. We need occupation of a positive kind.
Obviously, the exact activities in which we shall engage will very according to individuals. Indeed, once for the interesting things about leisure is the way it often enables us to find ourselves and to develop our real interests.
There is great room for experiment but some kind of creative work is worth trying. It is amazing, for example, the numbers of people who quite late in life have found a capacity to paint or draw and have found immense pleasure and pace in this occupation.
4.Learn to take leisure lightly
It may well be that part of your leisure time you will wish to spend in some serious pursuit-perhaps learning a language so that you can enjoy a holiday abroad more fully or taking some courses which will help you to improve your job.
Such a purpose will, of course, need regular and earnest application. But, in terms of sheer enjoyment, it is a god thing to have leisure time occupation where you do not need to take yourself so seriously.
For example , a game should be a game, but some people make every game a battle! They play as though their very life depended upon it. If it is a game such as bride, they probably make the whole exercise a miserly to their partner-unless he or she happened to be of the same dedicated type!
This same ability not to take oneself too seriously applies also to the kind of creative activity mentioned earlier. If you develop a pleasing skill in some art, all well and good. But do not be too much of a perfectionist. Do not be disappointed and frustrated because your results lack the mark of the professionals craftsman.
Determine not to spoil your pleasures by taking thing too seriously. There is great satisfaction of doing merely as a hobby.
5.Bring variety into you leisure.
To do the same things at the same time week in week out, year in year out is defeating one of the purposes that well spent leisure has-to bring freedom and spontaneity into our life.
Forms of Vinayaka In Different Countries of The world
The last that images of vianyaka (Ganesh), are found outside Indian culture has spread far and wide. Vianayaka is a very popular figure throughout Nepal, Chinese Turkistan, Tibet, Myanmar, Thiland , Indo-China, Java, bali, Norneo,China and Japan practically in the whole of East Asia.
Buddhist and Jains also claim Vianyaka as their God. He was known to the Chinese as well as to the Japanese under two forms one similar to that obtaining in India and the other (double form) two elephant-faced deities (male part and female counterpart) Japanese associated them with romance besides good luck. They call him Kangi-ten, double ganesha . In China He is seen in a rock-cut temple of King-hsein (531 A.D)
In Nepal Vianyak is seen with five faces, all that of elephants. The Javanese conception of Ganehsa in his sitting position is; He is calm. His calmness represents a man in ”Samadhi”
Generally Ganapati is enshrined in small temples and is given a prominent seat at the entrae of temles. But there is a vary big temple mainly dedicated to Him in Pillalaratti near Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu
If you goto sislam in Andhra Pradesh , you can see Vinayak playng a flute just like Krishna-Courtesy Sankara and Shanmata and “Tapovana Prasad”
No gift is more precious then a good advice.
Man’s suffering seems from his own inner attitude towards the outward happenings.
Yesterday is not for you, do it now
If you have hard work to do , do it now. Today the skies are clear and blue. Tomorrow clouds may come in view. Yesterday is not for you. Do it now. If you have a smile to show, show it now. Make harts happy . Let the friends around you know, the love you have for them; show it now. Prakash J . Shah
Everyone wants to succeed in life. Many of us say; “I want to succeed in my life”, Well, it is the expression of a desire to succeed in life. Having a desire is most important. But the desire alone cannot lead on to success. You must set a Goal.
Your ideas must be reinforced by setting a goal and you must prepare a plan to achieve it. Everything we see in the world around began as an idea in somebody’s mind.
A goal is an objective you want to achieve. A plain is a specific way of reaching the goal. Both the goal and plan are ideas in your mind.
You must clearly know what exactly you want. Without knowing the destination there is no use of proceeding on a journey.
There are many goals including money goals in everyone’s life. Thus you must be clear in selecting a realistic goal; it is better to set a goal as; Primary goal, intermediary goal and the goal of your life.
Before you select a goal you should know what talents you possess? What are your assets and strong points. Possibly you may have several talents. Select one in which you can excel.
On knowing and assessing your talents, you should look for an opportunity and find a way to utilise it. By constant effort you can even create an opportunity and work with imagination to achieve your goal.
To know your potential strength, you need to talk to your wise friends and take stock of your abilities and road blocks.
You must discipline your abilities for maximum usefulness to the maximum for a lasting success. The greatest undiscovered resources in the world lies under one’s hat and stands in one’s shoes.
Do not think either you goals or your plans to achieve them as unalterable. Goals are made to be shifted and plans are made to be changed.
While we are discussing about success through goal setting , our mind murmurs about “LUCK”.
Yes ,luck is found at a point where preparation meets opportunity.
Set your goal right now, work with imagination and make your life radiant with success.

How to build up your personal courage?
Monday 6-September- 2010
How to build up your personal courage?
Many people find it difficult to get on with people, to face problems at home and to make friends. They hesitate to accept responsibility because they are afraid they will not be able to perform. They fail at something and it discourages them continuously. They become discouraged and feel inferior. All these are basically a problem of courage.
How does one become a courageous person? Courage is a quality of life that we have to build up. If we want courage sincerely and are prepared to persist, we can gain all the courage we need.
Build up your own self-esteem. You are to be a confident person. Dress as smartly as you can and take the trouble about your appearance. Speak clearly and distinctly.
Begin to fill your mind with positive thoughts. It is easy to fill one’s mind with memories of past failures . Instead recall your past success.
Review regularly the blessings for which you should be thankful –your health, your job, your home, your friends and the beauty of the world.
Stop recollecting a picture of yourself as a defeated person. Instead, think of your victories. Learn to respect yourself, taking pride in your talents. These steps will help to build up the right sort of self-image. After having tackled your mental attitude, the next thing is to learn to understand other people.
Remember that other people are also human beings. The person who seem very important, the people in whose company we seem to lose our confidence are just human beings . the people with whom we come into contact have worries and troubles that we know nothing about . very often their attitude is a cover for lack of courage.
Having begun to build up your own mental attitude, the important step is action.
You must ask yourself ‘What exactly is it that I am afraid of?’ All problems become smaller if you face them. They only seem large when you run away from them.
Having decided on your course of action, you should go ahead and run the risk of making a mistake . courage is the willingness to make a mistake . if you make a mistake you can always learn from it. This is the answer to the problem of fear. Everybody is afraid of something at sometime. The only difference is that courageous people go ahead despite their fear.
You can change your attitudes by changing your physical actions. If it is a job you have to do, go ahead as if it were well within your capacity. If it is a person you are meeting, look him directly in the face and act as though it were a privilege fro him to meet you.
Speak clearly and if you greet people do it with a firm grip. Begin to practice acting boldly and with courage in little things. Act courageously with the very next person you meet speak up and give your point of view in everyday conversation. Insist on getting exactly what you want in a shop and don’t be easily led to buying something else. It is being courageous in little subjects that makes us courageous in big subjects.
Make the following points a daily feature.
Begin the day positively. When you wake up, make an affirmation that reminds you of your worth. Plan you day. If you have work to do, decide in what order it must be done and go steadily ahead. For your leisurelier, plan the activities you wan to take part in. avoid wasting of time.
Select a place at sometimes in the day when you have time to be quiet for few minutes take walk in the garden.
Repeat you affirmation and let you mind dwell upon the wonders of the creation.
Use every opportunity that comes, either in performing work. In meeting people or to act courageously.
You have planned your day which means that you have made yourself the master of the day. You have reminded yourself of your worth. Use every opportunity for putting these ideas into practice.
At the end of the day as you go to rest, make a quick mental review and note the things for which you are thankful and the ways in which life has been good.
If you follow these simple steps, you will find yourself approaching life with a completely new attitude . the courage for which you have waited so long will become a reality.
Quote from Bhagavad-Gita . It is mete, O Hrishikesa (Krishna) that by Your glorification the world gets delighted and attracted (towards You) , the demons , getting frightened, run in all directions, and all the hosts of perfected beings bow down to You.
