How to relax?

Monday 18h August 2014
How to relax?

Taking time to relax is very important in everyone’s daily life. Most of us do not have time to relax. We have other plans or have  been too busy with work, or just want to god to sleep after a long hard day.
This article will help you to relax.
The first step is quite simple. Take a nap . it is simple and very effective. It is way to learn how to relax. One does not have to take a long nap even a 20 minute nap is very effective. A nap will refresh you for the rest of the day. If you are tired, go and rest or simply take a nap. The midday drowsiness is a natural part of your body’s rhythm. You will find that a short afternoon nap is very restful. Sleeping is not necessary for a good nap lying down or just resting can be also effective.
Another very restful activity can be writing a daily journal of your thoughts. This an excellent way to relax and it may also help you examine problems that have been bothering you.
Keep a dream diary. Write every morning about what  you dreamed about. This will leave our feeling fresh for the day.
Listening to soothing sounds or even sounds of nature are also very relaxing and refreshing . taking a walk is very peasant and relaxing. A walk in the park or a walk to the store –any walk will let you ease your mind.
Another way to calm yourself is to listen to music you like. Wind chimes can also relax your body and your mind. Consider a nature video. National park videos are also very relaxing . take time off, a day or two to be with your family.
Allow yourself for a lazy time on the beach or at home.
Progressive relaxation is very effective to relax your mind and body. The way to do this is that first a quiet place to be all by yourself. Close your eyes and begin to tighten and untighten your fists for 3 times, over and over again. Hold them for 5 seconds then release . note the contractions between tension and relaxation. Next repeat this sequence with other body parts. For example your abdomen, your chest,  your toes and so on., try to limit each stretch to that bdoy part . concentrate on the pleasurable feeling.
Another  effective way is to take a nice warm bubble bath. Lie down in the tub and think nothing but the best things of life and just relax. Listen to the bird singing, or enjoy some soft music. Remember that a bath should be warm, not too hot.
To make your both even better, add some herbs or some bath salts. Practicing yoga and pranayama also help you to relax. You can also learn how to meditate and keep your body and mind in complete relaxation. The important thing to remember is that relaxation is very important in daily life your daily life. Your mind needs it as well as your body.
Best will come back to you
Life is an echo all come back; the good, the false, the true. So give to the world the best you can and the best will come back to you
Praise a friend in public and criticize in private.
Quote from the true Charm and power of Vedanta
Every devotee is inspired by this truth, when truly comprehended, that there is God’s grace available to him or her. That is what will carry him or her onward in life thereafter, in a beautiful and natural and rewarding blending of self-effort and Divine Grace, until blessing of Divine Grace engulfs the devotee
When people understand religion correctly as the science of total human unfoldment, they will realize , that there is no gulf between man’s secular life and man’s spiritual life . External and internal are only formal expressions,. Life or Reality knows no separation like this. What is external is also internal . Narayana the Indwelling Divine, says the Narayana Upanishad, exists filing the inside and the outside of man and the universe.
Atah bahica tat sarvarh
Vyapya narayanah sthitah.
So, when you are working in the world, you are working in and through Narayna Himself. You are not really away from Him. Vedanta says that God is both transcendent and immanent. He is within as well as without. Sri Ramakrishna told Vivekanda; Learn to see God with eyes closed as well as with eyes open; with eyes closed in mediation and with eyes open during work and inter-human relations.”
So , in the early stages one one’s life, when one is dealing with the world, one is actually in touch with the Divine as well. She or he doesn’t know it yet but that awareness will dawn depending upon how one handles one’s life And this truth will dawn fully on him or her, when that great strength gained by one’s self-reliance and self-effort is able to go beyond itself to a still greater strength, the strength which is self-surrender in the Divine. This is the only occasion when surrender becomes supreme victory. The knowledge dawns that the breeze of Divine Grace has been gently carrying onward his or her little boat of individuality on the waters of life towards the ocean of total fulfillment. This also means that life and action continue even after self –surrender, but now naturally and spontaneously and effortlessly and as an instrument of the Divine and for the good of the world.
So, in Vedanta it is said; Even to turn towards God, or towards striving for liberation, man needs His grace, ‘Only through grace of God do you get even this tendency towards spirituality , this thirst for the highest. Belies Pascal, the mathematician mystic of the seventeenth century, felt Lord Jesus telling him
‘I love thee more ardently the thou lovest thine abomination (sins)…
Thou couldst not seek Me, if thou didst not possess Me Be not there for troubled.
Seeking is also finding , because what is sought for is also the highest truth within us. That is the way Grace operates in human life; but we fully recognize it only when we become spiritually mature with the strength of manliness leading to the strength of godliness or saintliness in total self –surrender. Then , from that height , one can say; ‘MY play is done; One I see the truth; everything was and is Divine Grace. Personal effort and self-surrender to the Devine are only the earlier and later phases of man’s spiritual life in Divine Grace.
I wish all of you complete success in your spiritual training, growth, and fulfillment from manliness to godliness, form manliness to saintliness. That is complete philosophy of life; and that is the yoga of the Gita.

IF HE EXIST

I drive joy There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting seven precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting seven minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste seven minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 7minutes joy that I derive 4m.

Use your little moments to read, observe and learn.

Monday 11th August 2014
Use your little moments to read, observe and learn.

Today wherever we go we have watt at times we wait without an end. We wait for the bus, for the train, for anything we wish.

Hours are spent for transport to reach the office band back. Hours are spent in the hospital by the sick and the dying before they get the medical attention. At times, after all this waiting, a man is also likely to be disappointed in not getting what he wants.
While waiting anywhere you must jake a good book of thoughts or a book of humor. It will break much of your tension and at the end of the year you will have wealth of knowledge collected through spare moments. You will also have good health obtained by recreating your mind.

If you don’t have a book handy, open your eyes look at little things which normally you don’t stop and look. By observing many things you will be able to make your life richer in value , quality etc.

A visitor asked a professor how he could publish three or four books each year after attending to various duties. The professor said, “I make use of those little moments that other people waste”, You can use your little moments to learn without feeling you have no time in your routine work moments that go wasted can be put to good use for your own benefit and for the benefit of the community

Valuable Gifts
“A pat in the back and a sympathetic ear are valuable gifts you can give to those who work and live with you”

What is Success?

Success is speaking words of praise.
In cheering other people’s ways;
In doing just the best you can.
With every task and every plan.
It is silence when you speech would hurt,
Politeness when your neighbor is hurt.
It is deafness when scandal flows:
And sympathy with otters woes.
It is loyalty when duty calls.
It is courage when disaster falls.
It is patience when the hour are long;
If it found in laughter and in song.
It is in the silent time of prayer
In happiness and in despair
In all of life and nothing less
We call it success.

Quote from the True Charm and Power of Vedanta

17. Divine Grace: It Presence behind Self-reliance and Self-surrender.

So in the light of this great philosophy, the Gita deals with human life in its wholeness. You start as a man dealing with the world outside; you are not seeing God yet. You will be a man among men, interacting with them in the social context and developing manliness and character –strength in the process. Then , slowly, in  and through that interaction and with the aid of discrimination and love of truth, you will rise to the higher level. When the mind becomes pure and strong, it will gradually feel the touch of something purer, deeper, some intimations of the divine pulsations, from within. Only a strong mind can receive it, understand it, and respond to it ‘Only an elephant can understand the strength of a lion ‘Vivekananda said ‘but not a mosquito!’
It is not our organically limited ego that is our true form; behind the ego, and beyond all organic limitations, is the infinite Atman That is the Self of our self, the one Self in all, infinite and non –dual. In complete human enfoldment, this ego surrenders completely to that Self. Sings the great Advaita philosopher Sankaracharya in his Visnu-satpadi
When the sense of separateness (between me and Thee) is removed (in Samadhi) , it is I who merge in Thee, O Lord, and not Thou I me; verily, the waves merges in the ocean and not the ocean in the waves. Courtesy Divine Grace

Why do we Pray?

Monday 4th August 2014
Why do we Pray?
Prayer is an invocation .Through cheerful prayer, we learn to rise above our lower impulses and invoke the noble and divine impulses that are essential in all of us. At the present stage of our inner growth and evolution, living in our own little egos, we, in our unconscious vanities , may come to live a life of thoughtless immoralities during our day-to-competitive existence . this influence from our lower impulses is not altogether easily and readily escapable.
Scorched by such repeated volcanic eruptions of lower impulses, our minds become desert of sorrow and pain with no sheltering oasis of peace or joy. Prayer , however, brings in a cold breeze of peace and showers reviving rains of joy to transform the dreary wastelands of our hearts into a perfumed garden of bliss. Prayers is power-invoke it and be blessed to bless others around you in your community wherever you are.
By invoking the power of true prayer , we discover the Lord, the supreme Pramashvara, in our own hearts , as the higher . consciousness, the atman. Man is essentially divine. He is veiled God in action. To unveil this divine essence in ourselves by discarding all the false matter in us, to reject our identification with our body mind intellect and to invoke the pure Awareness that shines in the depths of ourselves is the highest peak of prayer, the fabulous summit of mediation.
True prayer is an innovation, an attempt to call up and to express the higher , divine essence in us. By rituals through chanting and singing through surrender and love, through dedication and prostration, through congregational prayers in specially dedicated and sanctified temples of God, we learn to give up our lesser nature and assert our nobler and diviner possibilities, . Through this process of innovation , we experience a new expansion=at first in passing moments. But son enough , such moments come to stay with us, reminding us of our true nature, reviving us from all our inner conflicts, leading us into an ampler fields of fuller satisfaction in life.
In fact devotion is discovered through true prayer.. through prayer alone is devotion depended through prayer again is devotion fulfilled. To turn ardently our hearts unto Him. The Lord, to offer our all at His altar in our infinite love , to bow down in total surrender at His feet. To cry in the joyous ecstasy of the flooding love in our hearts-this is prayer at its fullest. Where individuality is thus merged in His sacred temple of love, the universal vision, the experience of the infinite in us, unfolds.
Now ,close your eyes, relax your muscles, smile in joyous abandon in your mind. Listen and in true prayer contemplate again and again on these words: unattached am I with my body, unattached am I with my mind, unattached am I with my intellect again and gain. I am of the nature of pure Consciousness. The Awareness Divine. –Curtsey Tapovan Prasad
Quote from the True charm and power of Vedanta
These ideas of self-conquest, of the power of concentration and mediation, are not peculiarly Indian, in every religion, whenever there has been any true growth of spiritual thought, you will find that it has come from an indrawn, meditatitative life. Even materials scientists, how much they have to concentrate on a problem before they can solve it; for concentration always throws light and give greater power. Physical concentration is necessary to gain health of body; mental concentration is necessary to sharpen our intellect; and when we have practiced these two well and with discrimination, there will come a time when we can direct all our forces spiritual regeneration. Then the things which seem to us. Impossible today will become absolute realities. Our doubts will vanish of their own accord, for where there is sunlight there cannot be any darkness.
All the imperfection and limitation which we feel in our body and mind we can remove by not constantly thinking of this immediate apparent, physical existence, but by joining our thoughts with the Higher Source, the Fountainhead of life and energy. When we can remain focuses there, we shall be able to go on doing our duties without feeling any reaction. That is one of the great secrets of the Indian Teachers. Through the ages they have taught that man can make his work a recreation; and that if he will connect himself with the Higher and keep his motive lofty, his work instead of exhausting him will bring him even greater strength. It is not necessary for us to retire to a corner or become inactive to restore our vitality. If we will but learn to practice balance and moderation in all our activity, we shall enjoy true health of body and mind and shall attain spiritual illumination and freedom.
