The Best I can Ever Be
A Prince was taking a stroll in his beautiful garden, when a sudden doubt crossed his mind .Of what use was the garden? Did every thing in the garden benefit him as the owner?
Going near a mongo tree, the prince asked it, “Tell me, what are you doing for me?”
Going near a mongo tree, the prince asked it, “Tell me, what are you doing for me?’
In answer the mango tree said,” When the hot summer arrives, my branches are loaded with the most delicious mangoes. Your gardeners gather them, and they are served to you and your guests”.
The prince was very pleased.
“Well done”, he said to the mango tree.
Next , his eye fell on a huge banyan tree. It bore no fruit. The prince wondered what it could be doing for him.
“Tell me what you do for me?’ he demanded of the banyan tree.
“I beer no fruit like the mango tree”, the banyan replied. “ But I have my own uses. On my branches rest the chirping birds which sing their beautiful songs to wake you at dawn. And further , my spreading branches give shelter to your sheep and cattle!”
“Well done”, said the prince.
He now moved to the vast meadows of grass. the grass gave no fruit and could shelter none.
“What are you doing for me?’ he asked the grass.
“We give our life so that your sheep and cattle may be nourished”, the grass replied.
‘Well done!” exclaimed the prince.
His eye fell on a little daisy that grew amid the lush grass….
“Little one, what are you doing for me?” he asked the tiny flower.
“Nothing! Nothing!” exclaimed the daisy. “I give you no delicious fruits. I cannot offer nests to your birds, nor shade for your cattle, nor nourishment for your sheep and cows. All I can do is to be the best little daisy that I can ever be!”
The words went deep into the heart of the prince. Kneeling down, he kissed the little daisy.
“Well done little flower! There is no one like you, and I shall always wear you in my buttonhole to remind me that I must also be the best that I can ever be!’
Force is all-conquering, but its victories are short-lived.
The more argument you win, the fewer friends you will have.

Tremendous Inner Strength
God places so many seeming difficulties in the path of our life. Only to enable us to know how to master them and gain tremendous inner strength.
Excessive Authority
Excessive authority, without liberty, is intolerable; but excessive liberty , without authority and without responsibility , soon becomes equally intolerable.
The hand of Grace
When I place my hand of faith in Thy Hand of Grace,
I feel secure and walk with free spirit.
When I walk with Thee, mountains of obstacles melt before my feet.
I am always safe when Thou dost lead me by The Hand of Grace.
I drive joy
There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 5 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive from? I am not robbing you of your joy; why should you rob me of mine. He asked. Be generous with Praise
Speak to people , there is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting.
Smile at people, it takes 72 muscles to frown.. only 16 to smile.
Call people by name; the sweetest music to anybody’s ear is the sound of their own name.
Be sincerely cordial; speak and act as it were a genuine pleasure.
Be considerate of the feelings of others.
Be thoughtful of the opinion of others; there are three sides to a controversy-your’s the other man’s and the right side.
Be genuinely interested in people; you can like everybody if you try.
Be generous with praise. Praise uplifts, criticism lowers.
Be alert to render service; above all, what counts in life is what we do for others.
Be fair in your criticism; remember you opinion is personal with you and it may not be always correct.
Greatness of Bhagavad-Gita
Bhagavad-Gita is one of the most popular sacred books of mankind. It is like a glittering jewel in the treasure house of the great epic. Mahabharata. Set in simple style, it imparts practical wisdom and has a universal appeal due to its excellent message.
Bhagavad-Gita comprises 18 chapters, divided into three sections- Karma(Work). Upasana(Devotio) and Jnana(Knowledge) The discourse between Arjuna and Krishna on the battle field forms the subject matters of the Gita, and it was the great sage Vyasa who made it an inseparable part of Mhabharata. The Gita has 700 verses in all.
The Gita has four speakers- Krishna, Arjuna, Sanjaya and the blind king Dhritirashtra.
The central teaching of the Gita is the attainment of freedom, by performing ones duty in life. The teachings are valid for all age groups and all occasions.
It is said that a man who recites the 18 chapters daily, with steady mind, attains the perfection of knowledge.
Thus , everyone who wished to make life worth living and achieve something precious must recite Bhagavadgita with devotion.
Punch Line
We should look long and carefully at ourselves before we pass judgment on our fellows.
O God! Teach us to spare for others at least something out of so much we are collecting from your rich universe.
A humble bee extracts essence from all kinds of flowers; like wise, a wise man collects essence from all the scriptures.
He is a wise who dies not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.
Affection blinds reason.
The happiness you give makes you happier than the happiness you receive
It is for us to make effort. The result is always in the hands of God. Satisfaction lies in the effort not in the attainment. .
Maker of the Beautiful
It is beauty I love.
Thought like the foolish moth
Oft I burn my limbs in the flame;
Yet evermore my soul craves its attainment.
Beauty in the rose draws my heart;
Beauty of dawn exalts my soul;
Stillness of the nights fills me with wonder;
Beauty of face and beauty of sight
Awaken in my soul love and ever greater love.
In love and with love
I seek the Maker of the Beautiful.

I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the ten minutes joy that I derive from? I am not robbing you of your joy; why should you rob me of mine. He asked. Real Possession.
A man’s real possession is his memory . In nothing else he is rich, in nothing else he is poor.

And all in Thee contained.

He is noble and great who is restrained when accused ,dignified when belittled and gracious when challenged.
If you have great talents, industry will improve them; if moderate abilities, industry will supply their deficiencies.

Tongue Twister

If you understand, say “understand”, say “understand”. If you don’t “understand”. say “don’t “understand”. But if you understand and say don’t “understand”. how do I understand that you “understand”? “understand”.
I wish to wish the wish you wish to wish, but if you wish the wish the witch wishes, I don’t wish the wish you wish to wish.
Sounding by sound is a sound method of sounding sounds.
A sailor went to sea to see, what he could see. And all he could see was sea, sea, sea

We surely shall see the Sun Shine shortly. Whether the weather be fine, Or whether the weather be not, Whether the weather be cold Or whether the weather the whether be to, we will weather the weather whatever the weather, Whether we like it or not. Watch? Whether the weather is hot. Whether the weather is cold. It is whether, whether we like it or not.
If two witches were watching two watches , which witch would watch which watch?
She sells sea shells on the sea shore, but the sea shells that she sells on the sea shore are not the real one.
The owner of the inside inn was inside his inside inn with his inside outside his inside inn.
