the True Charm and Power of Vedanta
Influence
of Thought
Just as every action that emanates from us comes back to us as reaction , even so our action may act on other people and theirs on us. Perhaps all of you have observed it as a fact that when persons do evil actions, they become more and more evil, and when they begin to do good, they become stronger and stronger and learn to do good at all times. This intensification of the influence of action cannot be explained on any other ground than that we can act and react upon each other. To take an illustration from physical science, when I am doing a certain action, my mind may be said to be in a certain state of vibration; all minds which are in similar circumstances will have the tendency to be affected by my mind. If there are different musical instruments tuned alike in one room, all of you may have noticed that when one is struck the others have the tendency to vibrate so as to give the same note. So all minds that have the same tension, so to say, will be equally affected by the same thought. Of course, this influence of thought on mind will vary according to distance and other causes but the mind is always open to affection. Suppose I am doing an evil act, my mind is in a certain state of vibration, and all minds in the universe, which are in a similar state, have the possibility of being affected by the vibration of my mind. so when I am doing a good action, my mind is in another state of vibration; and all minds similarly strung have the possibility of being affected by my mind , and this power of mind upon mind is more or less according as the force of the tension is greater or less
Bloom to

When Spring arrives, earth awakens to the loving warmth of the sun and flowers begin to blossom. Flowers spread joy, positivity, colour and fragrance. A flower is a symbol of consistently working on the self and then offering it to the world. Its seed represents continuity of sankalpa; it’s indicative of the resolve of imparting the best of your being.
A flower tells us in silent language that we are
perfect, reflections of the Divine, and by working on ourselves, and taking the
right nutrients and withstanding natural calamities and other challenges, we
can blossom. Flowering symbolises the journey of life. A flower gives food,
nourishment and good karma to insects like butterflies and honeybees. It does
not hold back. We could do the same, too.
A plant may eventually perish but it knows the perfect mechanism of nature, that is, full blossoming of being. Everyone can blossom into perfection, to that divine beauty, which is beneficial for all of creation. Flowers are offered during both joyful and sorrowful occasions, as in births and deaths, celebration and grief. Like the yogi that the Bhagwad Gita talks about, flowers too are centred in sambuddhi and are stithaprajna karmyogis, providing solace to everyone.
When a flower blossoms, it does so for its own
joy, according to its own gunas, as per Nature’s law, in complete surrender. A
seed captures the essence of the flower when it blossoms fully. We are mostly
unaware of the kind of seeds, that is, thoughts that we are leaving behind,
being totally engrossed in the external world.
IF HE EXIST
I drive joy There was a doctor in Benaras who
spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this,
his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was
wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into
believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am
wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your
entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why
should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive 4m.-
