Observation

A great part of education is the cultivation of the faculty of observation. The value of observation was introduced to the reading public in an interesting from by Sir, A Conan Doyle when he created his famous character of Sherlock Holmes. Holmes would notice a speck of much  on a man’s shoe and concluded from that how far the man had travelled that day.

Houdini the great illusionist, brought out the powers of observation in his son in an ingenious way. He placed several small objects on a try, and instructed his son to look at the tray and its contents for a minute. Then the threw a cloth over it, and asked the boy to write down the names of the objects which he had noticed.

Keen observation is the most useful quality to possess. The employee who notices how and where improvements can be made gets the ear of his employer and is marked for promotion. The power of observation, even in cases where it is naturally small , can be developed.

Candle and Sun

The candle, which was often lit on holidays, once said to a flower; “It so happens that I am relative to the Sun. And it must be said that we rather successfully complement each other. Have you noticed that as soon as I am lit, the Sun goes out , but towards morning it hurries to take over my duties? We both give people light, so there is no great difference between us”.

“With the exception of the fact that the Sun makes a lot less soot”. The flower grumbled.

True friend is a gift of God

A friend is one who knows all about you and still loves you . He or she is the one with whom you can share your joys and sorrows.

Winning friends is an art. People who have a fine smile can easily win friends. A smile awakens friendly feelings. It prepares the ground for a healthy relationship. Soft-spoken kind works, honest appreciation and friendly approach increase the number of your friends.

Keeping friendship for long is great . show respect for a friend’s opinion. Never tell a friend that he or she is wrong. Talk little about yourself and more about his or here achievements. Honest praise helps friendship to grow.

Happiness consists not in the multitude of friends, but in the right choice.  Friends are like books should be few and well chosen. Good friends bring light into darkness and sunshine into shadow.  Good friends are food for youth delight at old age, ornament of prosperity, refuge and comfort during adversity and reliable honest helper and guided in all stage of life.

 

True friendship is like sound health its value is not known until it is lost A true friend is gift of God.

Work one has, of necessity , to do. There is no escape from work. A most highly evolved spiritual person or his opposite, a man devoid of thinking power, can remain without work. Let those who want to enter politics do so with spiritual vision, form a high sense of altruism, and let them from day to day watch with self-analysis and introspecting, caution and care, that they do not fall away from the path of righteousness . Thus there will be brought about a harmony between religion and politics, politics will be saved from corruption and religion, will have wider vision. It is only in this way that the world can be saved from destruction. And the future of culture and civilization can be assured.

The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive 4m.
