Why Worry?

Why Worry?
There are only tow reasons for worry, you are either successful or you are not successful. If you are successful there is nothing to worry about . If you are not successful there are only two things to worry about . your health is either good or you are sick. If your health is good, there is nothing to worry about; if you are sick. If your health is good, there is nothing to worry about. You are either going to get well or you are going to die. If you are going to get well there is nothing to worry about; if you are going to die there again only two things to worry about. You are either going to Heaven or Hell. If you are going to Heaven there is nothing to worry about, if you are going to Hell, you will be so busy meeting with your old friends that you wont have time to worry at all . SO WHY WORRY?
What Your Employer Looks For
When you’re a job seeker, you’re expected to have certain personal assets which instil trust in your employer or selector. Surely the recruiters look for work ethics, honesty , loyalty, confidence and problem solving ability. These are some of the traits looked for in a prospective hire. The four Es that reflect the above qualities are Exposure, Experience, Expertise, and Excellence. Sometime a fresh candidate from a reputed institution, without work experience , would also be considered for some positions. Definitely, the recruiters depends on the reputation of the institution for the qualities . in such a situation, the candidate is expected to demonstrate those in his application.
The other lot, experienced people would be expected to perform with limited or no supervision. It is because an experienced person or an expert is considered to have good conceptual understanding of wide range of aspects related to his work and can even guide others in this regard . the next aspect excellence is when a person’s expertise is known beyond the organisation and hence respected by the entire industry. And finally, it’s not merely technical expertise, but the candidates social culture which is taken into consideration.
How you should Present Yourself=
Remember, a seasoned employer/selector can see through you and read your mind, assess your character and adjudge you through what you speak, and how you conduct yourself throughout the interview.
Focus on the Interview; It’s not enough that y ou cultivate the four Es said above . The major task is how you present yourself at the interview. It requires the three Ps Presentation, Preparation. Positioning. When we read about the success of many IAS toppers, we garner that the three Ps are most essential to attain success at an interview. Presentation includes your attitude, appearance, and resume . you must dress professionally (I read the importance of this in a many toppers interviews after they are all placed well in high ranks)and be punctual . it shows your professionalism. Your resume is the brand you. So prepare resume in such a way that it highlights the skills and qualifications that fit the kind of job you are seeking.
Whatever be the firm/institution, organization that you wish to work for, you must have a thorough knowledge of it. Before the final day, do some research and learn about it. If you have anything else, you can ask relevant questions politely to know about it further.
All this prepares you to position yourself to the job. This can help you create best fit’ in the mind of the interviewer, So positioning yourself as the best is the key factor in attaining success in an interview.
Respect its deserves.
It is well for a man to respect his own vocation whatever it is, and to think himself bound to uphold it, and to claim for it the respect it deserves.
Quotes from the true Charm and power of Vedanta
But the ego still persists . we do not yet feel that God is the doer and not we. We do not feel that God is manipulating our mind and body. When the spirit of worship grows intense, self effacement comes. Our Self is lost in the consciousness of God . God suffuses our life and being and the world. In that condition we feel that everything is the Lila of God-His divine sport. We are one with Him, and become partners in His Lila. This is the third stage. Great saints and prophets have realized this state . there thoughts and actions are no longer theirs, but are of God Himself.
But, if He exists?
I drive joy There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive 4m.

How?
How did languages originate?
Some scholars dealing with words and their history consider all languages had a common origin. Some others believe that many ‘original’ languages arose independently in various parts of the world. The development of different languages from a common ‘original’ language occurs as a result of numerous factors. One factor is that there is a natural tendency for language to change. As time goes on the pronunciation and vocabulary of its speakers in different areas will separate and go in different directions particularly if they are set apart from each others
Another factor is that sometimes a language, is imposed on or adopted by a people who previously spoke another language. They bring some of that former language’s grammar and vocabulary into their new speech.
Slang , new ways of living involving new-word needs , the influence of neighbouring foreign languages are among the factors that change a dialect into a separate language.
Quote from the True Charm and Power of the Vedanta
Than the Gita no better commentary on the Vedas has been written or can be written . the essence of the Shrutis, or of the Upanishads, is hard to be understood, seeing that there are so many commentators , each one trying to interpret in his own way. Then the Lord Himself comes, He who is the inspirer of the Shrutis, to show us the meaning of them, as the preacher of the Gita, and today India wants nothing better than that method of interpretation.

Joyful Woodcutter

Joyful Woodcutter
The other day I watched a TV programme where the speaker was addressing a group of young people. What made me sad were the faces of most of them. Who, in there twenties and thirties, looked like old men and women. They were obviously overworked and highly stressed. “What do you want the most?” asked the speaker “Peace of mind” I shouted a section of the young people “Contentment!” shouted others!
At the moment. I am reminded of the story of a young woodcutter. In a forest there lived a woodcutter in a small house. Everyday he would cut wooed for half-a-day, sell whatever he had cut and with the money so obtained satisfy his day’s work over and thereafter spend his time in the forest. Following the river and enjoying the wonders of the forest.
A stranger happened to observer him and noticed that day after day the same procedure was followed by the woodcutter . With the intention of giving the young woodcutter some advice. The stranger approached him and having completed the formalities of introduction, queried of the poor labourer, “Why is it that you cut wood for only half a day and then put a stop to your work? Why don’t you cut some more?’
What would I do by cutting more wood?” enquired the peaceful woodcutter.
“Why”, replied the stranger, “ if you cat more, you will have more wood to sell, which means yo will be paid more”.
‘What will I do then?” asked the woodcutter.
“Buy yourself a wheelbarrow. So that you can load much more. Ush the wood to the city, where they will pay you a higher price, resulting in more money for you”.
“Then what?” asked the woodcutter.
“You can collect all that money. Get yourself a new truck with which you will be able to transport huge logs to other towns where wood is scarce. Think what a lot of money that would mean for you!”
“What would be my next move?’ enquired the woodcutter.
“Having become a big businessman and having amassed more wealth, you will be in a position to employ workers to do all the work for you. “
“And then what do I do?”
The stranger replied, ‘The you would have enough time to enjoy the beautifies of the forest, the streams and nature”.
The woodcutter looked at the stranger with a smile and said, “that is exactly what I am doing now . Why should I wait until I am too old to walk through this wonderful forest and enjoy nature? Now I work each day and have enough time for peace of mind and enjoyment of the beautiful nature around me”
Today’s youth are burning out fast. Heart attacks are common in the thirty forty age group.
This story is for YOU! Keep time everyday for the joys of nature; a walk on the beach time in the garden, time with your family and Creator!
Quote from the True Charm and Power of Vedanta
We often make a similar blunder and, mistaking the non-essential for the essential, wast our forces in vain .most of our religious disharmonies are the direct result of these unassimilated ideas. Great should do things with a certain purpose in view and their followers not understanding the true spirit of their actions, misinterpret them, often to their own hindrance, Rituals and ceremonies should not be our main object in worship, but should be regarded only as helps towards the goal. If we make them our foremost consideration, we are easily misled and our growth is retarded. Let us then seek sincerely and watch carefully , always working with steadiness, perseverance, faith and decimation. Then through the Grace of the Lord we shall attain freedom.
