Fisherman Who Became A saint.
One night, a poor fisherman stole into the garden of a rich man wanting to steal fish form the small lake. But as he cast his net into the lake, the servants, heard the sound and awakened the master. They all surrounded the lake with lighted torches and searched for what had made the sound, but the poor fisherman fast smeared his body with ashes and sat beneath a tree with hands folded and eyes closed, pretending to be a holy man. They could not find any thief and instead were pleased to see a holy man meditating in their garden.
The next morning, word fast spread that a holy sage was staying in the garden. Many people rushed to him with fruits and pudding , offering them at his feet . others placed silver and gold at his feet.
“How strange.” Thought the poor fisherman. “I am only an imitation holy man, yet people show much devotion to me. What would it be like if I become a real holy man?’
Thus thinking, he resolved to become a real saint. In the course of time , he became a great sage and attained the bliss of God realisation.
Wit and Wisdom
The Old believe everything
The old believe everything , the middle-aged suspect everything; the young know everything.
Four wills for Businessman.
A businessman should have for wills and here they are;
A goodwill made in favour of his family; the goodwill of the public; the goodwill of those who work with him, not just for him, and the goodwill of his banker.
Liar’s punishment.
The liar’s punishment is not in the lest that he is not believed, but that he cannot believe anyone else.
First half and Second half.
The first half of our life is ruined by our parents and the second half by our children.
I will do something.
The test of a preacher is that his congregation goes away saying not “What a lovely sermon”, but I will do something!”
Take constructive risks in your life. The more you master the courage to do the things you truly want for yourself. The more effective you will become at living happily.
Quote from the True charm and power of Vedanta
All the great teachers have taught us the path of child-like faith and simplicity, where there is no more vanity, no more ego, but complete dependence on the Divine. Surrendering the heart, soul and body to God’s work, to God’s will , this is the way of bliss.
All are guided by His will , should we not therefore recognize Him above al things? Should we not therefore recognize Him above al things? Should we not offer all our prayers and all our thoughts to Him? At least our first thought and our last thought of every day should be for Him. Our gratitude above al should be offered for His Grace. He is all pervading he is all-mighty . He is the Giver of al blessing. Him alone we recognize and pray to for our guidance and protection. May we through His Grace realize our Divine nature; may we feel the awakening of That without which nothing exists, That which is the source of our life, our true source of existence, That to which we must look for strength, for guidance , for all our inspiration.
Though His blessing may our remembrance of Him be constant and perpetual. May we succeed in directing our thoughts towards Him without interruption or disturbance. May we perform all our duties in this life carrying Him with us wherever we go. May we address all our prayers to Him, for He never fails to hear the prayers of His beloved children. We have no other power of right to do, except to pray to Him like little children. The rest depends on Him fully.
But, if He exists?
I drive joy There was a doctor in Benaras who spent 7 minutes in the morning and evening for mediation on God. Knowing this, his colleagues and friends laughed at him. One day they argued that he was wasting ten precious minutes on something, which he had been misled into believing. The doctor replied, “Well, if God does not exist, I agree that I am wasting ten minutes a day. But, if He exists? I am afraid you are wasting your entire lifetime. I prefer to waste ten minutes rather than a lifetime. Why should you grudge me the 10 minutes joy that I derive 4m.

Love for other is the golden key to Happiness.

Love for other is the golden key to Happiness.
The world is full of keys-there must be millions everywhere and people guard them like their lives and handle them with care-for it you lose your key! Well, that’s a real calamity you might be locked out of your home-and then where would you be? Look at a street of houses-there are keys to all the door…And all our problems are like doors-each one has got a key. Some work or deed will meet the case. If only we could see, the key to every situation is somewhere about –if we could rid our minds of prejudice and fear and doubt. Determination will unlock the doorway of success-and love for others is the golden key to Happiness.
Rules For Parents To Deal With Married Children
Don’t give advice unless asked for …. Remember they are married now!
Don’t parent them anymore, 30 years are enough. Let their spouses take care of them.
Remember your sons or daughters are their spouses now and there fore they better adjust to the ways, means, and tastes of their spouses.
Remember they have their full life to live their own way… if you agree bless them, otherwise keep quiet.
Don’t interfere in their personal and family affairs…. Let them settle themselves.
Appreciate their every little achievement-in cooking , hobbies , etc.
If you have problems , talk to your sons of daughters , not to their spouses.
At parties, festivals, and ceremonies treat them like close friends rather than- ‘in-laws’.
About their families, don’t every ask, comment or criticize.
Grand children are their creation, so take care of them if asked for.
So if they break things , mi behave, eat irregularly, advice them as a friend.
Finally, remember you may need them later in life!
I do not hesitate to lie!
Once a to be groom found himself in a tight corner while answering a barrage of questions about his personal history by the girl’s father. Finally in an effort to emerge out successfully he said. “Look sir, I don’t smoke , drink or have any desire for opium, snuff drug etc.”
The interested father asked him naturally in an inquisitive manner. “And you don’t have any weakness in yourself”?
“Of course, I am also a human being “ the to be groom said in frustration. “I do not hesitate to lie when necessary.”
Mystery of God
Every blade of Grass, and every INSECT, ANT and Golden BEE. All so marvellously known their path… they bear witness to the MYSTRY OF GOD. – Ancient Wisdom
Path of Love
One meets with two classes of spiritual aspirants. One of them resembles the young of a monkey and the other may be likened to a kitten. The young one of the monkey strongly clasps its mother while the young one of the cat cannot do so, but mews piteously, staying wherever it is placed by her. If the young monkey lets go the hold on its mother, it falls down end gets hurt. This is because it has to depend upon its own strength. But the kitten runs no such risk, for the mother herself carries it about from place to place. Similarly , the aspirant who follows the pat of knowledge or the path of selfless work depends upon his won effort to attain salvation. On the other hand, the aspirant who follows the path of Love knows that the Lord is the disposer of everything , so with perfect confidence he resigns himself entirely to His mercy. The former is like the young of a monkey and the latter like the kitten.
Quote from True Charm and Power of Vedanta.
To those workers who have a philosophical bent of mind, the advice of the Gita is that they should remember that they are the Self; that it is the senses which work, impelled by past tendencies and desires. While the Self; that it is the senses which work, impelled by past tendencies and desires; while the Self which is there inner being. Their real existence, is free from all earthly contact, and transcends everything material., the impli9cation of this sublime and pregnant idea is at first caught only by the imagination; but by constantly dwelling on it, while he works, the imagination of the Karma Yogi, will at last give place in experience and he will realise the Self.
It will thus be seen that there are no watertight compartments among the different Yogas, Krama , Bhakti, and Janana may , and often do commingle with one another in the course of spiritual practice, only the temperament of the aspirant will determine which of the three is to have a dominant influence in his life.

Seven Simple Secretes To Success

Seven Simple Secretes To Success
If you follow these principles, you can achieve success you have ever experienced.
Integrity; Firmly adhere to a code of honesty. That means not just being honest, but also speaking out against dishonesty no matter where you find it, if you speak out honestly, you make it difficult for yourself to be dishonest..
Courage ; do what is right regardless of the consequences. To have courage, you must first think as if you are already courageous . then act courageously, which sets a tone for all you behaviour . finally pray for courage, because with God’s help , you will succeed.
Enthusiasm. Develop a passion for life. I know a vibrant lady who starts every morning by reading a thought by the American philosopher Henry David Thoreau. “None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm”.
A friend of mine told me he constantly keeps himself enthusiastic by lumping together all his disappointments, frustrations and unhappiness each night, then mentally discarding them. Like him, you should let go all negative thoughts.
Also start each day thinking enthusiastic thoughts . act as if you are the most enthusiastic person you know. And surround yourself with enthusiastic people.
Happiness . strive for contentment. I have found that happiness is based on religious beliefs. And all the unhappiness I have ever encountered has been where en and women did not live according to the precepts of Holy Scriptures.
One man at the top of his profession told me. “ I became a genuinely happy man when I met someone who changed me deep inside. That someone was God. “
Faith ; You must believe and trust in God-and yourself . as you seek success , remember that God neve intended man. His highest creation to become a failure. Generally , the reason we do not attain more in our lives is because we do not believe in ourselves .
Hope ; expect success! When you live with hope in your heart and mind, you have found one of life’s most powerful secrets.
Live is not easy but you can rise above suffering by reading inspirational stories of people who found hope, then thinking, talking and acting hopefully. If you do, hopelessness will retreat and hopefulness; will take over.
Love : be selflessly concerned for all others. If you live with love in your heart and do all within your power to reduce human sorrow, you will become so spiritually victorious that you will rise above all difficulty and banish fear from your heart and mind.
Of course. It is not easy to love everyone. But you can develop love by trying to see the best in every one. Including yourself.
Also avoid saying bad things about others and avoid expressing disappointment to those who do not show there love.

Life is a boat We sail on, Life is a festival, We celebrate. Life is a flower, We bloom and die. Life is of God. He made them all.
Quote from True Charm and Power of Vedanta.
Why should anyone fear who is unselfish? Selfishness is the cause of all misery and fear. There is no sin for him who is unselfish. Know this and be free from al fear and care. Fearlessness is what religion teaches, and one can become fearless only through purity of thoughts and deeds. Past is dead and gone, but present is alive . so do everything with unselfishness in the present moments. Fear none, Divinity and purity are your birthright. Have faith and struggle on.
