Learn to Take things easy and relax

Nowadays people living in cities, get into an unreasonable enthusiasm for speed and hurry. Not only they do things in a hurry but also in haste . even thins that can be done slowly they like to do fast. They speed up things all the time, caring little for the old saying that “haste is waste”.

Being in a hurry makes us tense and upsets our physical mechanism. Most of the time it actually slows us down. In speeding things there are more chances of accidents. Than otherwise. If we save time only to waste if at the counter across which drinks are served or doing nothing, it is not proper to live under stress at the risk of our health and life.

We must learn to take things easy and relax. There may be times when we must speed up. But there will be occasions where we can surely slow down. With all the hurry, it should not be said of us, we speeded up to the grave with the time we tried to save!

Secret of Success

The secret of success is something we have already.

Serenity;

Cultivate a relaxed frame of mind. Say to yourself; “What ever happens today I can deal with it successfully. I have the power to overcome every obstacle and solve every problem”. Always take a cheerful and hopeful view of life.

Understanding:

From your self-knowledge will come a clear knowledge of other people. This will make a complete change in your relationships. Let us think clearly about the wise words of Confucius; if another drinks , does it put out your thirst? If another eats , does it satisfy you? Who then shall develop your understanding? You have to do for yourself.

Confidence:

This springs from faith in ourselves and in God. Worry and fear are opposite to positive thinking. They are not helping or improving your faith. Think constantly of your success, not your failures. Think of the success of others and build up your own  confidence. State positively and constantly, “I can and I will

Courage

Everyone has vast store of courage that can be called up when needed. Courage has the extraordinary quality of being here when it is truly wanted.

Enthusiasm;

This is the inner quality of life that brings excitement and dynamic activity into everything we do. May people are could and not enthusiastic because they really have no idea of what they want from life. Put yourself fully into what you do . you should have strong feeling about your work. Your interests in life. Your interest and enthusiasm will spread like a wild fire.

Self esteem:

It si easy to see that you will never succeed while you cherish a failure image in your subconscious mind. If you expect of fail you will. Never play yourself  down or accept a low estimate that another person may offer Self-esteem is essential for human happiness. When you feel right with yourself, your feeling will project itself into the world and make others happy to raise you.

Self discipline;

This means from the psychological point of view-thought control . Many people are at the mercy of her negative thinking –saying that something is not favourable and they expect the worst. Think carefully to clear up all the thoughts you have in your mind. Seek the positive definite and certain-and see how bright the day becomes.

The real secret of success is , your health, happiness and prosperity. These lie in what you have put into your subconscious mind. This requires self-discipline, constant effort and patience.

Rules On Human Relations.

Become genuinely interested in other people . Show them your interest . Talk to them about their interest, their hopes , their life.

Smile, Charlie Schwab said his smile had been worth millions to him, and the Chinese proverb says. “A smile opens more doors then all the efforts you can expand”.

Be a good listener. The most suitable way to make a man feel important is to listen. Unless s salesman listens he wont know which of many features of his product to emphasise.

Talk in terms of other man’s interest. The road to a man’s heat is to talk to him about the thins he prefers most.

Make other people feel important – and do it sincerely . Listen, show your appreciation. Refrain from criticizing or judging.

Golden Words

Make few promises. Always speak the truth, never speak evil of any one. Keep good company or none. Live up to your engagements. Never play a game of chance. Drink no kind of intoxicating liquors. Good  character is above all thins else Keep your own secrets if you have any.

How to develop Pleasing Personality

Most of us want to possess pleasing personality. Here are the tips to acquire this personal trait.

Accept a person as he is and where he is . this attitude takes away hostility. In human relationship, it is not possible to behave pleasantly with one whom you hate. When you accept a person as he is you can relax and feel free with the concerned person. Then he too will be happy and friendly with you.

Be outgoing. Maturity provides you with this important quality . you must be other person centered rather than self-centred. Too much selfishness takes away the friendly nature to go out of the way to help a person in need.

Be a good listener and be interested to listen with patience and sympathy of the other persons

Look for the good in everyone. Think and live positively instead of negatively

Concentrate on other persons achievement. Do remember that there is goo din everyone and sincerely look for it.

Be a person with original ideas and thoughts of peace which help you to possess pleasing personality.

Wear a smile. This is one of the features of good personality . smile at everyone . There is no better way to spread sunshine at all times.

Be enthusiastic. This is the one special quality that goes along with pleasing personality.

Some people think that to realise God fully one must rise from dualism to monism,. This is not true in every case. The dualist, by his own method, attains the highest; he wants nothing higher. There are four forms of Mukti or salvation from misery-Salokya, samipya, sarupaya and Sayujyal salokya mukti fulfils the highest ambition of man by enabling him to live in the same place with God. Samipya binrgs the perfected soul very near God in the relation of his most beloved son or servant. Sarupya fills the mind of the perfected on with so much love for his Beloved that he sees, hears, feels, desires and thinks upon none but Him; so much so that his appearance becomes transformed into that of his Beloved. On the other hand Sayujya or kaivalaya merges the perfected soul in Divinity, even the least separation between the two being impossible  when any one of these is realised. Man becomes perfect. Mukti means perfection. None will give it up after getting it, as each kin d of Mukti is perfect in itself . through Bhakti or devotion. Mukti is very easily realised. It gives the  lover the Beloved after finally reaching Him for whom the soul has all the time been panting and struggling. Is there any more work for it to do? In Him it rests. Him it feels to be the highest . this is the final goal preached in the dualistic interpretation of the Vedanta.

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success

Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally

Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.

Prayer Has Tremendous Power

Take any religion of the world, prayer is an essential part in all. The way people of different faiths offer prayer may be different. God in His mercy has given only to human being. This gift of praying . no other form of creation has this precious gift.

Prayer has tremendous power. It can move mountains. Generally, we pray to God when we are in distress or difficulty. However, we should learn t pray n all situations. Favourable or unfavourable.

Prayer should be aimed at self improvement. Your prayer to God should not be for the satisfaction of your physical needs and desires, but to elevate you from bondage to freedom . You should  pray to God, that you could remember Him under all circumstances.

A true prayer is the one which makes no grievance of what may or may not please you. Prayer should lead to abide by the will of God.

Accept People As They Are

A story was told  about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam, He called his parents from Sanf Francisco.

“Mom and Dad. I am coming home , but I have a favour to ask . I have a friend I would like t bring home with me”

“Sure,” they replied, “We would love to meet him”.

There is something you should know”, the son continued, “he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mine and lost an arm and a leg. He was nowhere else to go, and I want him to come and live with us”.

“I am sorry to hear that, son Maybe  we can help him find somewhere to live. “

“Son “, said the father , “you don’t know what you are asking .

Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we cannot let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come  home and forget about this guy. He will find a way to live on his own. “

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police . their son had died after falling from building they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him but to their horror they also find something they did not know their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good looking or fun  to have around, but we don’t like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable . we would  rather stay away from people who are not as healthy , beautiful , or smart as we are. Thankfully, there is someone who would not treat us that way. Someone who loves us that way. Someone who loves us  with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Tonight before you tuck yourself in for the night , say a little prayer that God will give yo the strength you  need to accept people as they are , and to help us all the more understanding of those who are different from us!

In the course of my previous lecture on the universe, I showed that a big section of  the universe can exist only in the mind and not outside, since it is not  a simple, elementary entity, but a composite one, made up of three factors-the seer, the seen , and the illumining or unifying principle.  Besides the temporary and finite universe of an individual soul, having birth and death there is also an eternal and infinite universe,  which history  and science hold out to us, Such a universe can exist only in an eternal and infinite  Seer or Mind that goes by the name of God; and that God must be absolute, self-existent and one, because there cannot be two infinites. The absolutely one, all knowing and all powerful; Being has brought us all in this big banquet hall, and by His innumerable powers manifested as the minor gods, has been satisfying our innumerable desires for eternity.

Find The Leader In You

Many a time you find yourself in a situation where you have to solve a problem simply because none else in the group could do something about it. How would you go about it?

Sometimes a situation is trusted on you by your friends and acquaintances. It may be a project or something similar to it. They compel you to take it up as they feel you have the needed potential and skill to finish it successfully or are you the exact opposite , that is you manage to lose yourself in group? Even otherwise if someone notices you and tries to give an assignment that calls for your initiative and decision making. What do you do in such a situation? Do you beg off with some excuses?

When such a situation arises, do you have what it takes to lead, to imitate action, to make decisions for yourself or for the  group? In short , are you a leader.?

In today’s world , a person is often thrown into situations that require thinking, action and ability to make spot decision. Then what makes a leader? Whatever may be the definition, a leader is one who initiates action, maintains discipline, and is aware of his group’s needs besides having some special qualities such as courage, enthusiasm, self confidence, sense of humour etc that sets him apart from others.

In order to problem into ourselves, to know whether we posses leadership qualities , we must put to ourselves certain questions, such as whether we can accept challenges, face difficult and baffling situations, consider how fast we can react and spur to actin, how well we can manage friends and acquaintances to get them do what needs to be done and how well you think and plan to resolve a problem or a conflict . Most importantly yo u must know whether  you can get along with a self –motivated, responsible and knowledgeable groups or a lazy, defiant and less knowledgeable one.

When you probe thus you must find in yourself your weaknesses and strengths. A good leader is one who manages to get things done through others people; He directs and encourages toehrs to do what needs to be done.

A leader will have patience and perseverance to explain and achieve the objects of a project. He must be able to elicit the co-operative  of his group members with less resistance. If these potentialities  are found in you, you must put them to proper use.

Leadership can be acquired through training, discipline right attitude and the will to cultivate it. You must understand that only few have the privilege to lead and that you too can do so, provided you cultivate leadership qualities patiently. You should be calm, with presence of mind, and acquire the capability 1o think of a solution to a problem. Remember, a good leader does not hesitate to accept the responsibility attached to the job. You must gain the ability to learn from mistakes and failures and learn to improve with experience. This quality marks out the leader  from a mere follower. Once you learn thus your ability to teach and train you subordinates makes. You  a good leader. This is necessary so that one can delegate tasks. Remember, only an experienced workman. Can rectify the mistakes and if necessary takes u the job on to his shoulders. In his subordinate’s absence.

Sometimes you may have some though nuts to tackle in your group. You must learn the fact of tackling them by properly relating to them. In later stages you will succeed in eventually making them work.

Therefore, a good leader is definitely one who is in full control and on top of everything; he is able to devise a system that allows him the flexibility and privilege of knowing what is going on. Whether or not he is present. Cultivate the above qualities, and see whether it makes a lot of difference in your life.

People are unreasonable illogical and self-centred.

Love them any way!

If you do good, people will accuse you  of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good anyway!

If you are successful , you will win, false friends and true enemies.

Succeed anyway!

The good you do to-day will be forgotten tomorrow.

Do good anyway!

Honesty and frankness make you face harmfulness.

Be honest and frank anyway!

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight

Build anyway!

It we cannot help serving those who are stronger than ourselves in every way ,it is always advisable to serve one who is the strongest in the whole universe.
